AK - TP mono flop

I am gonna 4bet this one for value. As played i am gonna raise OTF

Vs this type villain, I've found that I make the most money by letting them hang themselves

To me this approach is old and conservative. It's an expected approach even by nl2 aggro players. So i can propose you a newer approach. Counter his aggression with aggression and keep betting over and over into his face to induce raises out of him for more profit. If you manage to put him on a tilt it's a gold mine

Is this good reasoning or bad?

Neither. It's incorrect. Making him fold is not that bad when you have AKo. When you 3bet or 4bet this hand you want to consider your FE as well

Exactly! And more profitable. When you bet and he raises pots will be bigger on average. You must have the nerves playing big pots with marginal hands against these type of players.

All in all when he starts to jumps on your head you just slap him (with the back of your hand) and put him on his place.

F I’m calling the large bet and consider raising if small bet.

Monotone boards are tricky because no one has a clear range advantage, which usually calls for small bets and pot controlling.
The reason for the call OTF, though, is exploitative: if we know he overbluffs we should keep him bluffing later streets. We would raise if we had evidence that he also overcalls.

Preflop I 4bet here. On flop vs this sizing opponent I call flop and see what happens on turn.

For sure. Off course on this particler flop raising is tricky. It's tough to get value and if you face a 3bet you need to fold. Also all hands you beating will fold.
