i like the raise preflop because AQo plays horrible in multiway pots, your stack is somehow small and you want to punish the limpers.

you mean you would check if last to act, and raise all in if somebody bets in a multiway pot ? if you do mean that, its a good idea.

as played you could check behind here, but i think your hand is good enough to move all in. he might lay down all small pockets, he might lay down AK, and he might lay down AT. and you have outs against any other hand, so there are a number of better hands that might fold, you have some outs if he calls and you are behind, your stack is small and you need to be agressive, so i like the shove.

I would play it like this:
raise to 2500 preflop
check behind on the flop since he can easily have KQ,KJ,QJ,JT,99,even 87.
On the turn bet/push

P.S. It wouldn't matter in this situation since this guy is a calling station and you had the best chance to win the hand on the flop...but vs other villains i like my play better! ♠_biggrin:
