This is interesting spot from both heroes and opponents view. So preflop we obviously 3bet always with this good KKds versus BU iso raise. Well maybe not versus super tight villain.

Flop make things interesting as we can really play this as bet, x-r or x-c. We have very strong hand. I went with x-c as hand play pretty nice for it having showdown value and being able to call on most turns versus second barrel.

Villain line is theoretically bad (I would think) but its not necessarily super bad imo. Point is that people tend to play fd hands very often either as cbet or x-r. In a way its sort of good for third barrel villain is not blocking board pair as I have more sets and potentially some two pairs that might fold river. But yeah I think his hand would really need at least Q♦: and preferably some gs for some equity to start betting flop in first place. He did have bdfd though which helps.

But yeah example of benefits to protect x-c range in this spot though worked better than usually with villain going crazy with that combo.

Sort of interesting hand where I got saved by effective stacks basically. We can probably go flop either way but both blinds seemed quite wild and mergy in their betting so I thought to put pressure on. SB turn pot lead is also kind of interesting imo. It has some chance to get better to fold and worse to call. River I just cant fold for this price once I improved to two pair.

Had today this sort of interesting spot in one table. I had this maniac type very high vpip player on my left. This hand was kind of good example of his postflop aggression:

I 3bet his MP open from BB. Checked flop, x-c turn and x-c river. He had been betting very often versus double check line in single raised pot and me having 54 blockers I decided to look him up on this one.

So anyway other players were fairly tight for most part though there was another looser one who came opposite of my position where current sitout player is. Just made me wonder if this sort of table is that good to stay on? Because I basically have to tighten open raises somewhat as chance to steal blinds are almost zero. This guy on my left was calling like 70% of time when I open raised and then it easily created multiway pots. That in other hand meant that outside of being in button I could not really get to be in position postflop. Another issue was for 3bet spots with this player behind as he was also cold calling fair amount. That combined with being often around 300bb deep with this guy meant some nasty stack dynamics in 3way 3bet pots.

Well have to admit it didnt really help that I rarely connected to flops anyway and this guy was also sticky versus bets. I just find this sort of table setup often tough to play overall so might make sense to leave. In a way you want to still be deep versus this sort of guy for potential setup spot where my lot tighter range will be on good side often.

Just played record pot BB wise where this crazy gambler puts 330bb in preflop with J765ss... :f_ugly:

We started 450bb deeo and BU had 100bb. CO open raise, BU 3bet, I 4bet, CO call, BU 5bet, I 6bet and CO call.

Well he had 46% equity preflop versus these spesific hands. Not sure if I can really do much else anyway even if we assume CO is basically never folding? BU was unknown.

That call down with set is bad as villain has no straight blocker but even more importantly I bet turn into empty side pot... So in practise I dont know if he should really call even with second nuts. Probably would also make sense to just raise flop for protection. Sure I can have some bigger sets as slowplay occasionally but still kind of must move. Well preflop should also be open fold.

Wasnt really sure of this flop line. So BU open, I 3bet, BB and BU call. In general hand like AA with nfd and bdfd tends to bet on smaller side if cbetting but I think here when we have no straight blocker component at all we probably still prefer either x-r or pot cbet. Well I did pot bet and BU shoved with QJT3 no fd so worked out nicely anyway.

This was probably not greatest play ever but cant really be that bad imo either. Opponent has been on passive side so he has likely tight 3bet range but then again this kind of hand does work pretty decently in this spot as 4bet. If I were in BU I would have likely cold called but OOP that is kind of meh option.

Well I play 6max tables. In unibet new table start if there is three players for it. Sometimes table does become HU and I don't mind to play it if I assume to have decent edge over the opponent. But if unsure of that I usually sit out. Playing HU versus solid/tight player with high rake doesn't really make sense even with rake cap halved imo.

But yeah in general I don't feel very confident in HU compared to 3handed+ play.

PLO HU is a different world compared to 3way+ game. Ranges from 6max to 3max doesn't change that much, you can play even 3max with normal 6max positional strategy and you are not too far from the good strategy. But in HU the ranges go WIDE, both preflop and postflop.

In HU we should also deviate from solver strategy sooner than in normal 6max games, as we get tons of info from our opponent.

Played bit of husng and sometimes these are quick ones, I open and call versus shove. I suppose shoving 33 is not that bad 33bb deep though I would just call. Having shoving range that deep versus minopen is pretty meh.

Yeah, all of the PPs are 3b/3bs 25 BBs. Not sure about 33 BBs, tho, but I am 90 % sure, that we're not calling any of them, as we can't really play post flop that much.

And our equity comes from either:

1. Hitting a set
2. Having a fold equity

Majority of our EV comes from the 2nd one, so I'd just auto 3bet shove.

Beside, people might call you with some weird hands, so there's even more value.

I'd shove vs thinking opponents as well.

But I'd suggest studying preflop ranges for ~33 BB play.
