I was playing with AQs against a VPIP 100% opponent. I raised preflop and the VPIP 100% opponent reraised. I think because he was so aggressive that he will have the worst hand. He was raising before several times, and I thought it is his way to steal pots. That's why I pushed all in. Then he showed KK and I lost a complete stack.
Now the analysis part:
I calculated the expected value for AQs versus KK: I'm way behind.
But to be honest I don't think he will have a monster like this in every situation where he raised before. I think he would also do this with 10% of his possible starting hands...
Here I would have a small positive expected value. How would you have played this hand against such an opponent? Do you think after his reraise I can really assume that he will do this with 10% of hands, or should I start to be worried about loosing too often here with AQs because he is doing this only with better hands like top 5% of hands.
Versus 5% of best starting hands I have negative EV.
Please let me know your way. How would you have played this? Easy fold preflop? I think I'm also somehow on tilt, because I lost 1421,5BB during the last week. If you would be able to do a coaching, I'm happy for your offers. I also started to post a blog about my poker happenings.
