I 8 table the $5 normal speed SnGs and average about 1 session a day. (some days I wont play at all, other days I will play 3 sessions)
on the Turbo's I 12 table and have the same volume. usually about 1hr average / day.

Had a fantastic run on the $5 SnGs. reached my required 115BI's for the $6.50 Turbos so im moving on up! here are some stats and info from my short time at the $5 games.

My decision to 8 table increased my ROI so much on the normal speed. I was able to get some important post-flop reads on players which was very useful for my game. The $5 games are very beatable as you can see but the slow speed and the lesser volume frustrated me at times. I will enjoy getting back to 12 tabling and increasing my volume / rakeback on the $6 games.

Im moving on up! Hoping to avoid the regs and get off to a good start.
In the long run I calculated that if i can reach the $22+2 games I can economically quit my part time job and live off rakeback! So, I hope I can get to that level and be a break-even player at the $22s in a few months then I'll become a semi-pro

grats for the solid results u've made on the 5$ SnGs! It's very rare that one gets to move to a higher limit and gets off to a good start Keep that in mind and make sure to move back down a step in case the 6.50s don't take off as well The sooner u move down, the sooner u can go back up again.
While I understand u are eager to start reaping serious rewards from poker (like quitting a part-time job would be) I think u should rethink ur approach to the future goals. While the rakeback will indeed be nice (if u will put in the needed volume) u have to understand that the higher up u move the more demanding the game becomes and the more stressful it is. If u add the fact that one is living off poker well ... that doesn't really help at times when things aren't going well. IMHO u should first focus on becoming one of the top SnG players and only then look to live off poker.
Poker is often a cruel way of making a living, trust me I've experienced it myself. But things become even more complicated when u are playing simply to put volume in for the rakeback. This was the trap that really set my progress back last year and I hope u can avoid it
So bottom line: play not for the money but play to be the best on the limit If u will be at the top the money will come on it's own Good luck in the future!

I'm well aware of the possibility of an immediate downswing upon moving up which is why i set myself a 15BI buffer above my usual 100BI requirement for the $6 games, to mentally prepare me for the swings.
I think the decision to live off poker would be one I would never take lightly. but hopefully I will have the skills in the future to at least consider it as an option
could you explain how you make graphs like that?
i also play SNG and would like to make some
I use a tracker program called Holdem Manager. it generates graphs and statistics as well as HUD player stats.

How do you 12 tables ? Cascade ?
I'm hate cascade , I can only play Tile which is why I'm limited to 9 tables...
I tile. I have dual monitors. ill post a pic of my setup soon

Yeah loose the TV, no good ever comes from distractions. SnGs especially need u to be on ur toes, even more so when u play as many tables as u do.
Also don't pay too much attention to Flows' silver ranking, he might not be a volume player right now, but he taught me almost everything I know about SnGs (except how to play a pocket pair in early position right mate? :P). So if u got the time and are willing to subject ur play to some constructive critique this is a nice opportunity for that I promise to watch over him so he doesn't go on one of his rants during the review

hit my first downswing in the 6s today. running 10bi below ev. not playing badly though and i have confidence i can beat this limit easily. Luckily i have FT rakeback to ease the pain of the swing. still +6BI overall and a nice upward trend ♦ just need to increase the volume when i get free time. want to try for 500+ games this month.
quick update for my progess on the 6s so far. been playing really well. very happy with my play. the biggest difference ive noticed between the 6s and the micros is that there are a few regs who really know their stuff and as long as you can avoid these guys in your sets you should profit nicely

I wish I got rakeback, I put a bit of money in FT to test the water played a few $6.50 turbos last night and my findings are they are soft. I like the slower structure than on ipoker, just means you dont have to shove the boarderline ev spots.
