Hi,
I love playing poker. However, I am constantly asking myself whether or not I like playing poker enough. There are some days that I don't really feel like playing poker. There are many days that I want to play but I only get in 1000 or less hands. I can comfortably put in 30k hands a month, but I would say that that is definately not enough if I want to do it as more than just a casual hobby.
My question goes out to all of those hardcore grinders out there. How do you grind 100k hands a month? Can anybody do 150k? I would be happy with 60k, but even that is tough for me. I tried playing 16 tables and it was a disaster. I can play 8 tables of PLO, but I have trouble puting in the necessary 40+ hours a week to get 60k+ hands a month.
What are your grinding strategies? Do you just do a few marathon sessions a month? Do you treat it like a regular 9-5 job, set your alarm, have your lunch hour, stop at 5? How do you play more than 8 tables? Is PLO a bad game to grind?
