Hey Len, thanks man.

Yes even despite my forays into other formats of poker, i'm back to traditional BSS now because Heaven traffic wise is no good for SSS, and also the rake accumulation is really poor. It's going to take an almighty effort to clear this bonus, but it's good I get rakeback along the way too! The play is really bad here so that's a plus point too, so I can overlook the ugliness of the software - which although nasty in it's design, is pretty stable upto now.

I've also cashed out around $500 for my own personal use. So my roll is a little all over the place at the minute. Not quite reached the heights of 2k which seemed so close at one stage! But lessons have certainly been learned.

So unfortunately for the guy with AA who was happy to flat call such a small bet (he paid for it in the end), he could easily have not lost all his money here. I got lucky for sure, but we all need some of that from time to time!
$1433

Playing for 3 months now and have been flat called by AA 5 times.

winning 2 times losing 3 times :(

ANyway, i'm goin to lose my silver status soon. Just reached the 500 fpp and now concentrating on fulltilt which is more easy compare to staRS.

And good luck to u!!!

Month 3 End Update - Change of scenery

First up wanna say, i'm still here! I haven't gone broke, and I'm now 3 months in since I started with nothing but FPP's left on my pokerstars account. Having decided last week that I was playing without gaining any real benefits and missing out on a lot of extras I've switched to Poker Heaven (just for a little while). I've also gone back to my absolute basics, HU SNG's and I'm running really nicely, the competition on the 10 euro and 20 euro ones is very very easy and I've been running at a win rate of 70% which is really nice for Heads Up matches, plus securing some rake back along the way from the incredibly soft ring games.

If you can put up with the ugly looking boss media software, this network is great, so fishy compared to Poker Stars in my opinion, but hey, don't all jump ship, i'm happy here on my own with the fisheees. Lol.

So how's the money doing, well! I was very close to that magical $2000 not so long back, and it started to take a bit of a dive with variance kicking my ass and some other bad decisions like playing Omaha lol I've cashed out a fair amount too. So my existing roll is currently, (I'll translate it all into dollars so it's consistent.)

Bankroll:$910 with a bonus of $558 to unlock plus I've cashed out for my own personal use, $500

So i'm pretty steady again compared to where I was, with the 30% rakeback deal i'm also getting i'll get in theory around another $1190 by the time i've cleared my full bonus - if of course I can manage that, as you get RB on top of the bonus at Poker Heaven. Which is pretty cool. So this is a big reason why I've gone to such a crappy site rather than stay on Pokerstars, where i've made myself Platinum VIP - although due to not really playing there for the portion of this month I'll no doubt slip to probably Gold / Silver. I've definitely already achieved Silver anyway.

So that's me, I'm still here, and hope everyone will still follow my progress now I'm on the bonus hunt. Also - Strategy points again! Even better!

Just a quick one to say, installed Poker Tracker 3 today, i'd used it before but aaaaages ago, and its let me have the 60 day trial all over again which is great news, I will be buying anyway i'm sure. I had forgotten how good it was. Love it! Also - HUD at Poker Heaven now which means I can crush the little fishys! Loving the rake back, loving the bonus, the terrible play - just a shame about the amount of tables!

Gold status very soon, can't wait to watch some of those Gold videos again, especially the HU SNG one which will be particularly useful to me.

Graphs on the way....EV line! Awesome.

Stayed tuned.

Bankroll: $1093 (would be $1588 without withdrawals)

Nice to see you are still about rav, I started a challenge to go from $25 to $800 in five days.
Went busto on day one! :f_biggrin:

But I had 250 FTPs left, so I did a simular thing to you, bank roll is now around the $50 mark in two days

Glad things are still going well anyway

I do fully expect to be adding some graphs and things like that very soon, will do a month end round up. Although I haven't been playing at Poker Heaven for a full month yet. Had a good afternoon/early evening, was down around $165, but managed to complete the full turn around, and ending about +$165 which is always nice!

The heads up play on Poker Heaven is great, even the regulars are really bad, so they must be playing even worse players to sustain some sort of profit! Still going for the short stacking approach, then playing with the full stack rather than leaving the table if I come up against people buying in with random amounts, seems to work well although it's a shame about the traffic! Slow going at times.

Bankroll: $1245

I promised graphs, so here goes - just to put into perspective the swings a 5 max player faces, even at NL25 here is a nice session, 2 hours 15 minutes in length. I'm not going to post it cus I can't be bothered but I ran quite nicely above EV in this session too, mainly because my Queens beat some guys Aces, and my KJ made a flush against a guy who flopped a set of Jacks lol - infact I think it was the same guy - he took it well!! I think today is the first day that i've ran above EV in the 2 weeks i've been playing on Poker Heaven, so I think it was deserved in the end. Of course!

This goes someway to repair the damage of my final session last night where I crashed a massive 93euros!! Was a horror show, at least when i'm having these nightmares i'm clearing bonus and getting rake back, so it eases the pain a little bit!

Just to add that PT3 doesn't convert currency, and so this is actually all euros, and therefore considerably more $ than the final graph represents. At the current exchange rate, it's actually a $92.65 winning session.

Can't wait for the points to update either because I'll be a gold member again for the first time in a while, i finished 8 points shy just 2 days ago, but I had some massive rake yesterday, expecting around another +150 points which will take me over the line. Want to start watching those gold videos!

Month 4 - It's great to be earning points again

Gold member status was in the end achieved once the points finally updated. It's been great watching all those videos and reading the articles that I once had access too. I've slowed down a little on the progress track, I had an almighty downswing, possibly the worst I've experienced since I started this blog, and perhaps poker (in 4 years). Wiped my bankroll out a lot. At times like these I have to remember what I started with....nothing! SO, I like to withdraw a little bit so that it's not all been for nothing, so I took some more money out of the poker stars account yesterday.

I'm currently playing BSS FR on NL20, after about 4k on NL10 just to get back into the swing of things, and back to winning ways after SH on NL25 was killing me somewhat, not to mention a sick run on the HU SNG's 10+0.50 and 20+1. So all in bankroll is now fairly aggressive for NL20 after a lot of cashouts but I now have the joys of rake back. Fully loaded also with PT3 I shall post more graps as well as I have promised this for some time. I've been chopping around my game so much, I think it's really time to hone in on the BSS and make use of the articles/videos and the awful awful players on Poker Heaven. When i'm not in the mood my aim is to just not play poker...rather than try and play a different variation of it!

My Poker stars BR is pretty much none existent now after transferring to Heaven, and also cashouts, so it stands at $60. I'm ready for the $2 HU SNGs on there when the time comes to build - if indeed that time comes at all. Hopefully it won't. Also around 3k points, which I know I can turn to cash also if needed.

Updates throughout next week are planned. I hope you all continue to read, and we'll pick it up again from here aiming for a good finish to 2009 and start an awesome journey in 2010. My only real goal is to be platinum on here before the end of the month.

Just out of curiousity, does your HUD actually work at Pokerheaven?

I play there myself and I cant get it to work, and the support told me I can only use PT for graphs and stuff, HUD wouldnt be possible.
Which is a shame, I would have a way easier time if there was a HUD. :(
