Hi,

What do we do in the following situation:
Last 58 man, first 54 ITM. Prizes start at $12. First prize ~600
SB ~14xBB
BB ~25xBB
Hero 4xBB
MP3 ~50xBB
BU ~12xBB
CO ~15xBB

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with T T.

The table was pretty loose and peeps limping and calling 3xBB raises all the time with J8o and crap like that.

Do we fold our selfs ITM or do we push AI? (I didn' t use a rebuy or add-on, getting ITM would mean BIx6.)

Of course I pushed and busted out :f_confused:

Push is super standard here if you want to win tournament (play for win is super standard too for me :)) but... If you want to be ITM, you can fold every hand and be happy about 54th place. Your choice :P

you shouldn't have a 4 bb stack at all (unless you lost an all in) . easy shove with TT and it shouldn't be the bottom of your range.

Hi,

Thanks. I also thought pushing was the right thing to do.

The reason of my small stack were a few AK, AQ hands with only low flops. And c-betting into calling stations is of little use IMO. That followed by no decent hands at all=>blinds eating away my stack. With every half decent hand already 1 or 2 limpers were in the hand, which makes it harder to push (or not?).

Which pushing range do you use in this kind of situation (1 or 2 limpers who limp ~80% and calling AI rather loose)?

you didn't post the action , but if there are limpers I guess something really loose like K7s+,Q9s+,TJs,QT+,K9+,22+,A2+

btw

why play a rebuy if you are not going to rebuy?

why not Cbeting low flops if u raise preflop???
and
why raising when ur not going to Cbet if u miss flop ulll not hit flop 70% of the time (same goes for others they will miss flop 70% of time)-> if ur not going to Cbet low flop u r should better open shove AQ AK

you should not fold yourself into the money.
because most of the time you will lose every chance to win the tourney if you fold yourself into the money.
