Just wondering if there are any MMA/UFC fans in here??
As I enjoy watching a good fight in between playing poker and all the other usual stuff.
My top 5 fighters are (in no particular order):
1. Anderson Silva
2. BJ Penn
3. George St Pierre
4. Fedor
5. Gegard Mousasi
Put in who you feel are your top 5 and also your favourite fights or staredowns.
Yeah I'm pretty big on UFC. I'd have to think about my top 5 though.
Anderson Silva and George St Pierre are definitely in there, but I'd have to think about the rest!
I love watching just about any match or Ultimate Fighter episode though!
Yeah Machida is good, but he was lucky to get the decision over Shogun. It'll be interesting to see if he can beat him fair and square the second time round.
I love the guys that go out for war like Wanderlei Silva as well but obviously he isnt a top tier LHW anymore.
Staredown-wise Clay Guida is always good for a 'I'm gonna kill you' like staredown.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what happened to Pride? I'm really only familiar with UFC, although I know there's other leagues out there. Here where I live UFC is pretty widely televised on TV, and the PPVs are free at any bar and pub. Pride doesn't (or didn't) get broadcast at all! How do people keep current on leagues like Pride?
I've certainly heard great things about Fedor, but I've never actually watched a match of his. Will he ever fight in UFC?
I enjoy watching UFC but it doesnt get televised here in New Zealand. I did a lot of martial arts when I was younger and would have loved to have a go at mma but where I live it isnt an option.
The best fight I have ever seen is Scott Smith v Pete Sell - the whole fight doesnt seem to be on youtube any more, this is all I could find of it. Double KO ftw.

Pride got bought by the same people that run the UFC some years ago now. Then they closed it down, so a lot of fighters went to the UFC and some went elsewhere.

Disgrace to the sport, I did some MMA training till I had to stop due to tests will be starting again in Summer Boxing BJJ and some wrestling and kickboxing.

He was AAAAAWFUL, what heart though. Great brawl to watch but I've seen fights like that outside of pubs.
Love watching mma, not just UFC. Glad I can watch UFC,WEC, M1, Cage Fighting etc

5. Jon Jones - only saw his title winning fight but I love his style
