Hello! I am thinking about buying new bigger monitor for my PC! Right now i have tiny 15,4'' monitor! I am thinking to go for 22'' or 24'' actually(21'6'' and 23,6''). I am multitabling now but its hard to keep up since tables are so small and its hard to see stats sometimes! So what size of monitors do you guys have and what would you all suggest me..to go for big or not?

im using a 24"
mainly because i can tile more tables, and not because the stuff looks bigger.
When you get bigger monitors, the size of the stuff on screen doesn't necessarily get any bigger. You get more screen real-estate.
And no, you don't want to run your big monitors on lower resolutions, that just sucks balls.
Don't upgrade... Just buy another one...
I have a 21" flat screen and a 17" flat screen with dual display.
It's the way forward 
If you are interested and want a hand setting it up, then let me know... I'm kind of a geek when it comes to anything to do with audio or visual things or anything to do with gaming

I agree with you running on higher res.! I cant stand when i multitable more than 4 tables and tables cover each other!

Yeah I know... But don't ditch your old one or sell it... Just buy a new one and use both.

i guess he could use the 15.4" screen to navigate the lobby and then the new big screen for tables. thats what i do on my laptop + 24" setup.
but 15.4" if its low res, is a real pain
Out of curiosity who here plays on FT, I want to know the minimum monitor size that I can 12 table without any overlap. At the moment I have a 23" widescreen and with 12 tables they all slightly overlap and it's kind of annoying with stats. Probably should have bought the 24" ♠

Yeah I guess low res sucks, and in fairness that was my original plan but both of my screens are high res so I now use them both for poker tables.
As for the FT question, I would say at least 24" without cascading/overlapping ideally though the best way to multitable is on a modern TV with a DVI or VGA connection. Or better still get a graphics card with a HDMI output
I don't mind the over laps myself, and when I played 24 tables (way back when I could) on stars I played on a 19" monitor that actually died about a month after I stopped playing poker for a while. Although I had dual monitors then too I didn't use both for poker tables.
a 30" monitor pwns a TV anytime in terms of resolution
get three of those and run them off an eyefinity setup. you can probably 72 table. if your hands move fast enough.
at the moment i run a 19" widescreen + 17" and multitabling up to 12 tables with a bit of overlap is quite easy.
i want to upgrade soon. going for dual 24"s

HD is much better
nuh uh.
HD = 1080p = 1080 lines
so the resolution it 1920x1080
standard 30" monitors run at 2560x1600

No 1080p means 1080 pixels per square inch
no 1080p means 1080 horizontal lines for the image, 720p means 720 lines.

i think you've confused it with the printer specs which goes by dpi (dots per inch)

No offence my friend but you are very wrong on a standard HDTV at 1080p there is 2,07 million pixels.
You are thinking of 1080i
P.S I know I am right. The price you would pay for a 21" monitor that could beat a 1080p HD TV would buy you a 60" LCD HDTV.... Wikipedia isn't the best reference point
my friend, 1920x1080 = 2.07 million
2560x1600 = 4.096 million on a 30" monitor
go figure
and i know you are wrong.
the price you pay for the HDTV is for different stuff than just pure pixel pushing power. It isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison.
But if you are talking about pure screen real-estate in terms of pixels, modern PC monitors definitely do better.
Besides, most of the cheap HDTVs (not the full HD screens) run on 1366 x 768.
Also the P and the i make no difference to resolution. P just denotes progressive scan.

1080p 1,920x1,080
1080i 1,920x1,080
720p 1,280x720

480i Up to 480 lines
