obviously work on your game but I am admire you moving down as I know how hard it is. It's mainly about confidence, crush the 12s and comeback fresh.

Ps gl with the ST's adventure as well

I skimmed this and it seems to be applying more to cash games BUT it does play a part in SNGS
when it comes to ranges. Based on ICM, I think a MAJOR leak you would see from a
way higher EV line than your winrate line is because you are shoving against someone
who is going to make a -EV call against you. So yeah the red line goes up because
they called with worse cards and sucked out, but maybe the push was wrong because
you should have realized they were going to call you loose or had no concept of the bubble
and stack sizes etc etc. Which is of course not always possible to have such reads when multi
tabling or the villains are unknown which briongs me to point #2

I would suggest less than 3 that you stay at your limit and reduce your tables even further.

Maybe you are missing key resteals, or anything at all that could be costing you piles in the long run.
Things you may not be able to notice yet with so many tables going on at once at the new limit.

This is not saying you are a bad player. You are very good. I am suggesting you absorb more of the
play and the limit you are currently on before dropping down and increasing tables. Maybe you
can find some key spots to improve on and increase your ROI and then add tables.

Just a thought.

Ok here is what I meant.

By practising Multi tabling at a lower limit, you are becomming attuned to that lower limit.

You move up., and your ready to multi table but you are not as familiar with the new limit.

You miss subtle differences between the limits that you could pick up on if you have less tables
going on at the new limit. Ie do resteals work better, or even just steals or any kind of infinite
possibility of combination of differences at the new limit.

So while becomming an awsome player at the lower limit with plenty of tables it does not help you as
much when you move back up as it would if you were to just slowly add tables at the new limit.

So I get the point. But I offered a counter suggestion to it. Practice adding tables and picking up
on reads etc at the most profitable limit you are rolled to play on rather than become accustomed to
an auto pilot type of play for a lower limit then try to apply it to the higher one.

Two birds with one stone.

And only a suggestion.

lol i totally missed this post

<3 u lennonac.

to further explain why i moved down:

once i had a decent sample on the 24s i quickly realised that there is a HUGE difference between the 12s and the 24s. more regs, more good regs, more winning regs, fish are tighter = bad for late stage = more variance.

now while i had a comfortable roll and felt i was beating the games and just getting horribly unlucky while 8 tabling. I could feel myself tilting more and more every day because i wasnt used to the $ value of each suckout.

i chose to move down for a few reasons which i think will help me a lot when i decide to move back up. Also i needed my sanity back after running so horrible.

i do agree with everything you have said 867. But with my long term goals, I wanted to ensure an air tight game vs fish in all stages before i continue my adjustments to the regs at the 24s.

so yeah im on a heater. EV still running at 8% on the 12s for the month.

and im getting more and more comfortable with 5-6 bubbles/ITM at the same time which will help me a lot in the future.

I found sometimes when i reduced my tables i was over-thinking some really standard spots in different situations.

poker is a learning game and im still learning new things every day.

id like to take the opportunity here to thank lennonac and Tim64 for our session reviews together. Its good to have friends to chat about poker with, something i lack in the real world for the moment.

as long as i can stay on top of my game and put in decent volume im confident i can pull a decent green month from the garbage start to February.

its 2x 160gb in raid 0.

i dont need huge amounts of space cause i dont really need >100gb.

im upgrading to SSD as soon as the prices drop enough so i didnt want to invest huge $ into 10k + rpm just to upgrade in 6 months.

SSDs are great, I get my poker fix instantly. I also got a new PC with poker winnings, it's always nice to see something for all the time and effort instead of a few numbers fluctuating.

yeah i decided to go for the one you suggested schris7. i realised if i want to 3x screen in the future ill need a better card than the one i picked.

im sticking with the screens i have at the moment. going for pot control rather than max value ;)

Congrats on the new config! It'd be awesome if it comes with a heater too! _biggrin:

May I ask what screens you are using? 2 x 19"s? or maybe 2 x 22"s ?

Good luck!

im leaving the screens for a few months. because im happy with my screens at the moment.

but im still deciding what to get when the time comes.

a) 2x 24"
b) 3x 24"
c) 2x 20" in portrait mode
d) 1x 30"

have to see in a few months when i get some more winnings what i want to get :P for now im happy with my monitor setup. it does the job

and for those of you who want to hear some poker related things from me.

i managed to pull back my 35BI loss on the 24s in about a week on the 12s. running at >10% EV ROI. so its safe to say i can crush the 12s which isnt too hard.

right now im grinding away at the 12s until my new pc comes. then i want to quickly move to 16 tabling them and hopefully move back up to the 24s with more experience, more volume and more luck this time :)

ill be posting my regular monthly round-up next week.

Nice PC ur building... gonna play some CoD in between SnG sets?? :P Wat uni are you studying at? I'm 2nd year at UQ myself. Great blog btw, shows how good BRM and dedicated study will lead to success, and to persevere through the downswings. I'll keep an eye out for future posts.
