So what do you think about today's game? The Slovaks have already cut down 2 of the top 3?
I think Sweden cost them selves the game.
They went in there way too confident, and for that they paid with their tourney life.
Even in the third I was watching the coaches and the bench, and the commentater announced
exactly what I was thinking. There was no interaction between the players and the coach, even
at the last minute they figured they had this game in the bag, and although they made one
hell of a last minute push, I mean fuck how often do you see a pulled goalie right up untill the
end like that without loss of the puck even once?
But it was not enough.
I think as long as Team Canada keeps their heads down and treats this as just a hard of a game as
they were anticipating against the Russians, then we will be fighting for the Gold in no time.
Listening to the various radio stations and tv you would think Canada went in there and played
better then they had yet.
Truly, they played the same game all along, they just didn't meet the resistance or the goal tending they
were expecting. They did the right thing on focusing on Russia's star player and the poor guy was
pinned down and kept down. Alexander OVECHKIN played great throughout the entire Tourney.
So yeah to sum it up, if they stay focused and keep playing the same game, and do not relax thinking
it is in the bag then we shall see another win. I again do not expect scores to be more then 3 goals max
for the winning team, but I was wrong last time when I said that about Canada and Russia.
I expected Russia and Canada to go to overtime or something or at least be a very close game. Infact
like I said earlier, if they had switched goalies sooner, We would not have had such a huge lead.
Russia did well that game over all but Canada did better.
Ok sorry to the readers who give nothing of a shit about Canada and the olympics, but only one more day to go
and then its back to poker posts.
Firstly I got to say about Canada vs Slovakia, I called it right on the nose with the 3 goals for the winner.
I have to admit though everyone at this house and probably most Canadians watching were on their feet
and just screaming and shitting bricks at the same time wondering how the fuck we managed to hang on to
the 1 goal lead and just praying to maintain it untill the horn.
Slovakia played tight untill the blinds and antis were huge and just shoved all in every orbit to try and
push for first. They just exploded into action and the Canadians were too tired to keep up. It's like
they hung back and let Canada work itself hard and tire itself out and then sprinted for the finish line.
Slovakia played a GREAT 3rd period, and it was seriously anyones game right up untill the horn. Nice job
Slovakia. I think Luongo needs a shrink now after that hammering in the last few mins.
Tommorow I anticipate an insane game. It's what we on this side of the planet wait for and dream about.
Bragging rights for 4 years and ownership of the title of the BEST in one of the most played and followed
sports (mainstream atleast) by both our cultures.
I have no predictions except for one hell of an insane crowd that will erupt with every single hit, I expect
some nail biting penalty killing moments, and I expect to be wiped out myself just from watcing by the
end of it.
GO CANADA bring us our 14th GOLD!!!

If it dragged on much longer we would have been seeing a shootout.
I do think that one of the Canadian players should give Miller their medal.

Wow, I need another drink after that... man when USA scored I was worried, it was so similar to the Slovak ending, but it went in, but great olympic moments deserve a great story line, and after a long haul without a goal, I somehow sensed who would get the winner... and I am proud to say that I called it .2 secs before it happened

when he saved that Ziggy Pallfy's breakaway, than a one-outer Ziggy hitting the post and another 2 Luongo miracle rivers when he saved Demitras rebound ..
Great job Canada in todays finals, you deserve the gold, it was a great match and a great celebration of a great game of hockey .. I just miss Joe Sakic so bad

You and I both, everyone in the house heard it, I said its now or never and we are in charge now, if we
can not put it past miller while we are the ones with the momentum its shootout time.. and we went in for the
attack and were turned away and I said ok here it comes were dancing around them this is it and boom
horn goes.. I should have placed bets!!!!
Augustus.. very nice things to say about Canada. Slovakia made an even better attempt at it then
the US did in this game. Slovakia almost caught up on shots on goals after being down 2 to 1 for shots
heading into the third. They out played Canada solidly more most of the third period.
Canada was seriously being run over by the Slovaks and it was all about Luongo from then on no doubt
in my mind.
The USA had a man up for the last 2 faceoffs, and they were just firing on all pistons with everything they had
and hoping for something to go in. It worked. But beyond Canada playing a little bit too defensive in the third
against the US this medal game, we had a much easier time with the US than we did against Slovakia in the third.
Good job to all players, and the celebration is rampant in Toronto. People are out in the streets everywhere
just partying hard!!!
Soo sick to take the Gold in both Mens and Womens..
And with that, as promised.. The olympics are done with, I am off all medication, and I am in an undistracted
mind set that is ready to take on the game of poker again. I will be starting tommorow. It will be a slow start
because I am not jumping into it mass tabling just making sure I can relax and play out my first session
focused throughout the whole thing, and not distracted bored or not up for it.
Once this dipping my toes back in the water phase is done, I will be back at it full steam ahead.
No more Hockey posts as the Leafs suck soo fucking bad that I can't even watch them.
Thanks for following guys it was great to talk the game for a while.... Maybe I will see the next leafs game,
but I don't know if I can handle how sad they are compared to a few years ago.
I lost interest so bad that I can not even name the whole Toronto team anymore.

February Update!!
I played a massive amount of SNGs NOT!!!
so in total my month looked like this.
l only had some time for videos today, but tommorow I will be playing it out. After I see where my game is
from all this time off, I will come up with some march goals that are realistic, maintainable, and that do
not focus on shit that I can not control or things that do not matter.
