9230 in a week? I gues it was a joke but here is for the others who doesn't think so. I play NL200 if I play 10k hands one day I get like 150=1050 so not even if you were a pro at FT you wouldn't get that with 100% rakeback. Maybe it was what you cashed out 1 week after playing 3 months at PS? ^^

1. when i posted, it wasnt said it's about weekly RB - I count my RB monthly
2. it wasn't joke
3. I'm not playing on FTP
4. it was rakeback between 1st of September and 30th of Sep this year - not 3 months or so...

You don't have to believe me, but I have no reason to lie... (some people here know I'm saying the truth^^)

sry for bringing up this old thread but care to share how did you manage to earn such big rakeback sums? :f_confused:

Seriously, can the pokerstars system even come close to rakeback? I mean, 5k ps points get's you a 50 dollars bonus.. Hmm it's a close one, But other sites like ftp that offer rakeback also offer the same bonuses, no? I guess ps is more benefitial to high stakes players cause of the milestones and upgraded bonuses.

If you search for it many people have done calculations, iirc at the lower end their system equated to 22% rakeback* and at the higher end of the playing spectrum it equated to well over 30%.

* This was obviously when people used their points "correctly" and to be honest I cannot remember what the "correct" way to use them was.

My biggest rakeback is 60% _biggrin:

Lol...Well done for a $50 bonus every 25days $2 RB per day...im jellouse (asuming you're gold star....) You could earn more RB on NL2 in 1 days at FT....lmao. ;)

Full-tilt is alot better its been shown after 27% RB + Iron man + Random take 2 bonus's/bigest bonus etc...That Pokerstars is no better than FT.

FL = Rakeback poker if you play a lot, and with enough volume, especially on high rake sites, Opal's result is certainly possible. You do make me curious if you also managed to do better than BE in winrate and how many hands you required on that limit.

Oh well, if we actually let RB be everything from points, promos to rake races (which are essentially all RB), I'm going to be near $10k RB at the end of this month as well, though I'm a bit down in direct WR... I don't think I'll do something crazy like this anytime soon again though, since it ment kinda loooong days of grinding. :P

why FL get high rakeback? can we roughly estimate rake per table per hour asavg pot * hands played per hour? then in that case no FL has no distinct rakeback returns advantage? and at 5/10, how many tables can one play? on fulltilt, it looks limited, unlikely to be able to do 16? hmm

hello there, i'm not attacking anyone! i  this site more than 2+2 :f_love: :f_love: lol but seriously when it comes to rake back i have diff opi about it!

yes Rakeback is for losers :) cz either u have the edge or u dont! if u do... u dont need rakeback unless ur a smal winner, and if ur a breakeven player then its the best deal for u!

And in other way around if ur edge is big u dont even care about rakeback! i'm Gold star on pokerstars, but just cz i play alot, not that i wanna double my ffp or stuff, i dont even care about it...it is gd to get rake back and get somemoney back, but if stars doesnt have it, i wont go to anywhere else, just to get rakeback, wuts that 200$ a month, if i play half an hour daily i get that lol nd i'm only playin 10$ HU..BUT WITH HUGE EDGE LIKE I CAN MAKE SERIOUS INCOME EVERY MONTH!

thats just imo !

I think RB is more important for FL because your edge in BB/100 is smaller. I.e. your WR versus the Rake you pay is small, hence RB just represents a bigger portion of your final profits.

Put it this way: good FL players manage some 1-2 BB/100 winrate, and on the limits $1/2 or $2/4 for example you pay almost 4 BB/100 rake, depending on the site you play at. I'm sure things aren't this extreme for NL.

Also your notion rake = avg pot*hands is not correct due to the specific rake structure. Rake gets capped at a certain value and more flops are seen with FL, which means more rake paid.

Oh well. In the end all this talk over RB is nonsense anyway, since it is all just ordinary profit, over which no rake was paid.

It def is, because holding supernova elite is about the same, but it's not worth it imo..
@ stakes: i know NL100 player who does similar to that amount, but that's far away from enjoying the game ^^

I lost a lot in terms of WR that month (still less than RB), but it wasnt because of playing for RB... long & painful story
Dont remember the amount of hands, but RB was about 94%, so you can calculate it. (there were quite a lot of 2/4 & 3/6 hands because of lack of traffic)

we should because the most of sites dont have direct rakeback

rake in FL is higher than possible WR up to 5/10 (the MOST sites up to 10/20 or even higher).. edge is so small ^^

i used to play 12 (or better to say every available from 2/4 to 5/10, if not enough 5/10 ones).. sometimes even 16, whats the limit on ipoker

aceontheriver: obv, I have different opinion ;) If you're not giving a fuck about RB while playing, then it's ok - this is how it should be... But longterm, everyone should consider it. It's the same like you're not going to play 5+1 sngs if there're 5+0.5 available.. That's because of higher rake. The same aplies to rakeback.
It's great you're winning 5 times more than rakeback, but winning 60$/hour is better than 50$/hour for every logicaly thinking person, so saying it's irrelevant is stupid imo.

lol@getting rb is not important..
I mean, ok its not esential and ofc more important is being winning player...
But wtf ? Who refuses free(read "not really free") money?
for me FTP at nl50fr, rb is 1,62bb/hh..
80cents.. not much, right ? .. but common.. in 100k hands month the difference of getting and not gettin rb is 1620bbs.. and getting or not getting that 1620bbs more each month is damn big difference..
