horrible river card for you, any 4 also beats you and he could have been slowplaying a made straight already.

so i would fold to the river, there isnt much u beat anymore.

Well the chance i get called by these fish preflop is like 99%. So i'd rather not raise with a weak pocket pair. If i don't make a set on the flop which happens 90% of the time i believe, there is nothing i can do but check/fold. trying to bluff these fish out of a pot is usualy a very bad idea, They will call you down till the river with lowest pair or a gutshotstraight draw usualy..

I'm still grinding the $0,25 45 man sng's Maybe in the $1's the players would actualy fold preflop sometimes or to a fold on the flop. But i don't like to risk chips when i have nothing against these fish. (I'm not going to ever play the $1's though.. I'm getting insanely bad luck this week it's not even funny, if that would happen in the $1 45man sng i would go nuts lol)

Well you will be surprised when you find that the players on both limits are going to be very similar in skill level. This is a good thing because we want to play against bad players.

When you have a hand like 66 in the CO even if they are calling "too much" our hand has enough intrinsic value when we have position to raise anyway. This is because if we do happen to hit we can extract max value by being in position and making sure money is put in on every street. At the same time, continuation betting against people who call too much preflop is hugely profitable. So raising preflop and maybe getting it heads up and thus maybe taking it down with a c bet is enough reason.

Otherwise? Just trust me, raising preflop is better

I think open limping preflop has too many downsides.

if you limp and get raised, what do you do - call for set value? fold? raise?

call: you won't get the odds to call for a set, and flop play will be difficult
fold: might as well have open folded
raise: overplayed, and you might be worse than a flip (e.g. against overpair)

if you raise preflop only good things happen

- you take down the blinds
- you weed out weak hands (e.g. any two suited)
- you usually have initiative in position on the flop and can contibet.
- when your set hits you will get paid more
- if you do get raised and you call and hit your set, you are more likely to stack your opponent, who has a hand worth calling you.

given the possible outcomes, I think raising is best, open folding next best, limping is the worst.

I definately agree with you in most cases, but if you get raised you will get quite bad odds and are almost certain to be at best in a coinflip, hence I would openraise them pf but fold to a 3-bet, when blinds isn't higher.

Hmm, interesting.. I'll consider being more agressive with pocket pairs. The problem is i just don't think people will fold enough times on the flop. If they do call and i missed it, i don't want to put any more chips in the pot when there are overcards. so then i will have basicaly wasted like 10% of my stack astleast at these blinds.

These players are truly horrible.. i'm really not kidding.. I've seen people call my bets preflop, flop, turn and river down with hands like K high, gutshotstraight draw etc.. wasting like half their stack.. no joke.. When the blinds are this low there are still alot of those really really really bad players.

edit: I will try betting more with pairs in position and when there's no raise though, I'm not sure if im going to play a session today. I just got back home and had a really busy day.. But i'll see.

i personally think limp, raise or fold are both acceptable at this BI level.

raising will get more value in the long run from people who call pre with ATC then c/f flop often.

It can get pretty ugly if you are not as confident at post-flop, therefore, limping is acceptable in my books.

there are positives and negatives to all options.

at higher limits you should never open limp from late position. its way too transparent and you will never get paid off as much.
