[Closed] tournaments

greetings from a sunny netherlands, sun is shining and the short skirts are back in town.

'tho i was on a short holiday i found the time and place to play 4 sng's. players can be found everywere. even in belgium they found there way to the green tables. belgians are nice people and very welcoming. we played on a roof terrace and during the break we had belgian chips for dinner.
because i dont drink alcohol i had to say no to some great beers but next time , when i visite that beautyfull country , i will try some of their pride and joy. cant wait 'till june the first, then i havent drank for 100 days and will win the bet with jimmy.

4 sng's 25 euro each , 8 players , 1500 chips to start with and blind intervals of 8 minutes (duh speedpoker).

6 unknown players (erik was nr 7) and the field looked easy. come on, how good can a girl play when she is blond and has doubble D ? the host was drinking ricard without water (yuk ! ) and there were some players who were certainly underage. as i said belgians are nice people but they cant play. i seldom see a belgian at party. at everest there are some of that beerloving folk but they are rare.

first game , first hand. i held Q10s in the bb. 5 limpers and i made a little raise to feed the pot. think i raised 3 times the bb. lol they all folded. what hands did they play? u can at least expect one good / reasonable hand with 5 limpers. but no way jose. fold fold fold. duh.
third hand i held AKo and i raised first in . both sb and bb called. a flop of QJ4 rainbow came and i made a conti bet. both called and the turn gave a A. small blind bettet pot and i called with my 6 outs and tptk. river gave a 9 and smallblind check to me. because we were in an early stage of the sng i also checked and sb showed a 95s. this was gonna be fun.
half a hour later i had AA in the pocket and i managed to get one person allin preflop. villain had AKdiamond and the FF (fucking flop) gave 3 diamonds. no help on the turn and river so i was out in 4th place. erik came in second and took hold of 50 euro.

second game.
nothing worth to mention. one time i held pocket ladies and reraised one player. at that moment my cellphone asked for my attention and it was my girlfriend asking me to marry her................ ( i swear, no joke) . i lost the hand but u are all invited to my wedding. loose 2 ladies, win one.

third game.
erik and i were down 50 euro and with this buyin it would be 100 euro down. we both tightend up and played normall, solid poker. i was lucky to double up in the early stage with a set. i had 44 in the pocket and i called 3 players. utg1 had raised the pot and utg3 and middle 2 called. i was on the button and called the raise. i wanted to squeeze but decided to just call. if i would hit my set i could at least double or even triple up. LF (lovely flop) gave Ad7s4s. utg1 (erik) made a contibet and got raised by middle2 (double D), now i had a problem, should i smoothcall or reraise? i knew eriks bet was just a contibet and that i had nothing to fear. he almost always limps with AA utg. it was the blond chick i wanted to put her money in. i reraised and she pushed her stack. call. she was on a flushdraw with AsQs. turn gave a 6d and the river gave a 6s. ooo how happy she was until she realised i made a boat. big laughs from the dutch side of the table.
later on erik made a side bet with her ( and now it gets dirty) that he could shake her boobies without touching them. they bettet a beer. he grapped her boobies and shook them all around and gladly paid a beer for her.
no hands for a while and we were down to 4 players. again i had QQ and this time the queens hold up and i tripled through the bigstack and knocking one out. 3 players and the bigstack knocked out erik.
heads up. and this is what i like. i played a lot of headup tours on pokerstars. i put on my cap and never look at my opponent. i want to play them fast. i needed 2 double ups. normally in a headsup game u play around 70% of ur hands and raise alot. my belgian villian played a little different. fold fold fold fold fold ect. he was waiting to long. every time he raised it was a easy fold for me. this kept on for 30 !! hands and i was even now. i now raised every hand (yep also 72o) and never got called. then i got hold of AJo and raised and my villian reraised, SF (scary flop) gave A98 rainbow and he moved allin , i called and won the game against a straightdraw. he had J10s and wanted to use his tight image to push me away. duh, im only afraid of my mother

fourth game
this was a fast one. it was raining raises and reraises and to be honest , they all had worthy cards. sets, straights and pocket aces all over the table. a 17 year old girl knocked me out when i was holding KQo and with a flop of KQ7, she had 77 in her hands and i was first out. the shame, loosing from a girl.
erik did better. his son mika (9 years old) told him one time that he liked cards like 96, 74, T7. 2 gappers. his reason: if u hit the cards in between they never suspect u'r holding a good hand. lol . great logic. the 2 gappers are now called a "mika". and u can tell it when erik has a hand like that. he always smiles when he has a mika , a big son loving smile. he was lucky to win 3 big pots with these holdings. double D got an interest in erik and they were getting quite intimate. but nothing can distract him when he is playing. with a superb hand he won the game. JJ in the hole and JJ on the flop he smoothcalled himself in the money.
we paid for the frenchfries and were about to go to our camper when DD asked erik to come and see her postage stamp collection at her place.
i went to our camper alone.

comig saterday we will play a 10 euro game in lochem, 100 players.

tnx to our friends in Nijmegen we heard about a deepstack game in Lochem. where? Lochem. where is that? near Zuthpen. where is Zuthpen? ....
nowerdays they play poker in the smallest places and villages. and due to internet they even got winners over there. we met a nice guy who won $24000.- in the $300 000 tour at party. and it was his second tour he ever played. oke he's now down to $9000 but, heee give the boy some credit. nice going thomas.

this was going to be anakha's first big tournament. he has a nice record in live cashgames (nl5 and nl10) but he is not that comfertable in large crowds but he did really really well. and as our statswonder he came in handy in sevaral occasions. u could shout a hand to him from a couple of tables further down the road and the answer would come instantly. big laughs at the other tables.

a well, the tour started out fine . NOT. our chauffeur/walking wallet/ticketholder/eric had forgotten his wallet ! ! there we were , middle of the jungle called Achterhoek and no money. 1 1/2 hours from home. with all our small change we managed to scrape the buyins together, but it was going to be a thirsty and hungry day. tnx to mom we had some sandwiches and waterbottles but the beer was only E1.50 , a sad day for eric.

deepstack tournament, E10,- 96 players, 10 000 chippies to start, 25-25 starting blinds and blinds would increase every 20 minutes. a loooong day....9 pay outs.

i never played that deepstacked, come on, 10000 is big BIG. i did some reading and there are 2 correct ways to play it (according a lot of people). 1) see a lot of cheap flops in the hope to hit a monster. 2) play ur normall tournament play. i decited to play the latter. u can see some cheap flops but a 50 bet can change into a 500 call very easy. i wanted to study the table first before i wanted to make some moves. and what a table it was ! lol. 2 supertight players i had met in Nijmegen, 2 farmer boys (smelling) 2 idiots (really) 2 guys from amsterdam (really smelling idiots) , one easy to read woman and me.
when i say idiots , i mean idiots. every hand was raised/bettet and checked in the dark and pushed with nothing. and a set of queens was checked to the showdown just for fun. i had met the worst table ever. i managed to do well in the first 2 hours. did some exellent moves if i may say so, i folded 2 big hands preflop. euh thats it.... tight nijmegen raised utg and i folded AQhearts and in middle3 i folded AQclubs after a raise and reraise from the only woman. they both showed AA. after the first break i had 44 in the hole and the cheap flop gave a 4, the hand was checked to me and i bettet half pot, one caller and after the turn i bettet and won the pot. i won about 2000 and was back to 10000. till the next break i had to fold everything. biggest hand so far A7o but mostly it was thrash 82, 83 (three times) 72 (2 times) 94, J4. worst thrash ever. then 44 again in middle1, behind me a guy who would bet every hand on the flop and a very very lucky chinese. again the flop gave a 4 , i checked and amsterdam1 bettet as expected, i raised him and he pushed (as expected) CALL .. hehe i showed him my set and he curshed and showed KK.. more hehe from my side of the table. hmmm maybe a hehe to many, because the b******rd hit a K on the river. lets hope Ajax will never ever win a cup again. boschman out in 50th place.

eric and anakha were moved to the same table, a normall table this time. oohh how i wished i had to play that table. they both were still good. anakha with 10000- and eric with 22000+. but it was getting tighter and untill the next break they both saw there stack crumble. anakha had to push or fold in this stage off the game and in the CO he pushed a QT only to run into the big blinds KK. KK again. out in 30th place.
big break, eric had about 16000 in chips and decited to lure as many as possible players into a pot with a good hand. very dangerous but if it works it would mean a triple up. and now he had KK in the CO. the bigstack raised preflop and because eric would like sb and bb to call, he just called the raise. to bad sb and bb folded. the flop showed 665. bigstack checked and was raised. eric did our familiar hehe but turned red when bigstack hehed him back. the son of a female dog showed trips. he had raised his 76s for information and because of eric's tricky plan he won with a hand he would have folded if eric would have reraised him.
KK fools we were.

hiya all, greetings from a wet and cold arnhem. looks like autumm is coming early this year.

first of all, i feel sad. my cat tigger ran away. so if u have seen a black cat with a chipped tail dont hesitate to keep the bugger. i got it from a former girlfriend and now i have nothing to shout at when i get sucked out. (sounds worse then i meant it).

and it was a suck out day. o my freeking buddha, the worst suck outs i've ever seen. (well not really but they were disgusting).

sng, 9 players, 20 euro, 3 winners, 1000 starting chips
btw herman bought some nice chippies with a hologram of the famous las vegas cowboy. he showed us first one , then 2 , then 3 but the problem is, he took them out of the sky. the man is a magician. really he is a proffional magician. he is only allowed to play in short-sleeves and short trousers. he swore that he would never ever use his tricks at the tables, "cheat ones and nobody wants to play with me again" he says. hmmm...imo u can cheat as long u dont get busted. ( i do trust herman)

the first game started of fairly good. i noticed that i have became a more tight player. at cash games i like to play the player and in sngs (especially in the beginning) i play solid rock poker. the first rounds were folded by me and eric managed to doubble up with a sneaky played set of aces. his villain was making stabs at the pot with ATC on the river and eric slowplyed his set. and indeed villain minbettet at the river and was minraised, villain minraised back (lol) and eric minraised again (more lol). minbet + minraise + minraise + minraise = a nice pot. eventualy villain pushed his stack and eric made a laughing call. this time villain had something, i believe it was AA KK but he had to surrender his chippies.
later on i was in the sb and the hand was checked to me, i completed the blinds and bb made a small raise to defend her blind. flop gave K87. i checked and bb bettet 1/3 of the pot. i called. turn gave a deuce. this time i openend the betting and got raised by bb, i called. river gave another deuce and i overbettet the pot. i was raised for all my chippies. no need to think about it i called and bb showed K7. very very nice hand i said and showed my beerhand. hehe 72o the most famous Dutch hand wich i religiously play. according to my pokertrackerstats i still have a profit with this hand.
i was chip leader when we came to the bubble. i tried someting new (for me that is). every hand was pushed by me. i wanted to bleed my opponents so when we got to three players i would be a dominant chipleader. they all wanted to make money (students) and were scared to finish in fourth place. i succeded in my plan and won almost all of the chippies.
heads up: now the sjit hits the fan. hand after hand i lost. my KT was crused by 72o (come on, who plays that holding? its an awfull hand).
twice in a row a lost against flush draws and i will not begin to tell u about the rest. i finished in second place. oo how happy she was.

the second game was a disaster for me. i held QJs(clubs) in middle3 and with 4 limpers i joined the family pot. the turn gave QT9 with 2 of my suited cards. i had a straightflushdraw , top pair and normall flush and straight draws. against 4 random hands i had a winning change of 65 %. utg1 bettet and i raised him 3 times his bet . a nice raise but 65% are numbers i like. only utg1 called. turn gave a deuce of spades and utg bettet again, i raised again 3 times and got called again. deuce of diamonds on the river and utg checked the hand to me. i checked also and he showed 2222. godverdegloeiendegodverredomme. (translation and after sensoring = darn).
down to 240 in chips and the sng just started.
some hands later i had 99 and i pushed , i got called by AK and the flop gave AK9. the set held up. later i pushed TT and was called by JJ, flop gave JcTd8c , turn and river gave both clubs and i was back in play, i had the only club.
then i lost again with a str8 against a runner runner fullhouse and was back on shortstack. this kept going on and on. going in with the best hands and loose, going in with bad hands and win. i felt like that frickle guy who made the final table at the aussie millions ( i look better ).
at the bubble i had AKo and was pushing my stack to be called by AQ. board showed AJ82 and the freeking river produced a Q. can u believe it.
in this last sng the word luckbox skyrocketed to a new all time high.

alas , u cant win them all. but overall im doing very good. when my bankroll at party allows it , i will start playing sng over there. i've heard that the $3 and $6 games can be skipped and that i have to start at the $11 tables.

i dont know what it was yesterday but everytime i had a good starting hand i was only able to pick up the blinds. i had a record in getting AA (5 times) and KK (4 times) and what do u think i won with it ? well well guess again... zilch nada noppes njente zero..
they didnt call my hands when i was utg, not when i was in late or CO .. fold fold fold. even when i limped AA in middle position the BB trew his hand away , didnt even want to see a flop. bunch of cowards and chicken.

this time we went to breda. there was a 50 euro rebuy tour with 40 people in a cafe. thx to the nice guys from that little town on the other side of the waalbridge we were invited and off we went. eric , ron and me.
we decided to take 250 each and that we would go with 150 to the pokertables and with 100 to the casino afterwarts.

the game was held in a so called "bruin cafe" (brown cafe). u know what a bruin cafe is? its awfull, the worst thing the dutch can offer. dutch music of long gone semi-famous dutch singers, singing about little boys and girls waiting to take their drunk father home and that he pls pls will not drink his whole paycheck. if i had such little brats who would wait for me at the door of a pub i would surely drink myself full.
btw i won my bet , i havent drunk a drup for 100 days and with that i won some bottles of champagne (blanc de blanc mjam).

40 players 50 euro rebuy in the first half hour and 1 add on. starting chips 3000 and blinds 20-40, changing every 20 min.
it started of great, the first hand i got was my famous and beloved 72o utg. i really really cant help it but it is such a big fun to win with the beerhand that i always play it. i limped the hand (sometimes i even raise with it) and there were 7 callers (lol rebuy). flop gave A22 and i bettet pot. 1 caller and the turn gave a K. i checkraised the hand allin and i was called by AK. the first dubble up from my side. (and also the last).

at the same table eric was playing a great game. i mean an truely, fantastic , superb, exxelent ... i dont have words for it. he made some really great laydowns and folds and checks.... in other words .. he was playing his best game ever but couldnt win a hand. he told me he layed down a Astraight (3 of the same suit on the flop) , he folded 4 times a set against straights and flushes, and even trew KK away when a hand was bet , raised , reraised and even rereraised. he had to rebuy once and took the add on. (coming of a total of 150 euro).
ron on a other table had the same problem. good starting hands but to much action or no action at all. once he flopped a quad of queens and won 80 chippies with it. i mean, can u believe such a bad luck. one good thing btw, he was the first of that evening to hold a 4ofakind so he won bonus (a bloody dvd of rounders .. duh we all have that downloaded).

after the first half hour (i had not bought the add on) i had dubbled my chips and got my second AA. bet fold. the next hand i had the same !! hand AA ( i looked at the dealer but he looked completly hetero-sexual to me.) ang again every body folded after a minraise.
2 hours in the game both eric and i were eliminated in the same hand. eric held kwak kwaks and i was on the bb with A4. the flop came 235 and we both feld like happy campers picking up some nice girls from sweden. eric bettet pot and a guy in middle called and i raised. eric called and the middle called. the turn gave a T and the hand was checked to me. the board was rainbow so i better 3/4 pot. eric and middle called. the river gave a 4 . eric checked and middle bettet his hand. i had him on a big pocket pair, AA KK QQ or AK so it could be a split pot. i pushed allin and they both called. the mtf had 66 !!!!!! i never ever get angry at a table (now im lying) but this time i really lost my cool. can u believe it. such a idiot ! wanker ! and more bad words ! i still get angry when i think about it.
and u know what? later on in the evening when we were in the casino... we saw that same guy and he told us that it was his first tour and that he just started to play poker. and that he recieved his money via ps.de.

and ron... what about ron.. he played like broomcorn's uncle and anted himself to dead.

the only good thing that evening was when i trew my last 20 euro chip on the roulette table and that i came plein. 15 . eric had 20 on zero game and ron 50 at black. after all , when we got back to arnhem and counted our money we noticed that we made a profit of 60 euro that day. euhhh that was 60 euro before we went to the pub and celebrated live.

lol i had a rocky horror picture show in amsterdam.
one of my roomies has a temp house because she is doing some paint work over there ( http://www.klabru.nl/zakelijk/index2.html , click actueel and then fotoalbum amsterdam) and i can use the house when she is back home in the weekends.

i've seen the show several times and we have a nice group who see the show as often as possible (IM NOT A NERD whahaha aaha ha ha).

we started of with 5 virgins and 1 slut (euh that wil be me). the winner of each hand could demand that somebody else would drop a piece of clothing.
thanx to herman the magician i held 5x AA in the pocket ( to be precise, i had them in my sparron). after the firsts hands the virgins decided to play againt me (yo floor manager, this is collusion !!) and they were trying to get me out of my clothes ( i really really dont know why). duh .
the game lasted longer then the 15 minutes and after half a hour i still was in my kilt and shoes but the virgins were down to underwear. one guy was naked and got a round of applause from the ladies.
to bad they would not let us post there pics.

next week we will go to groningen to play a 30+5 tour. this time in pants, though i like the idea of those aces in my sparron.

lol classical, not as interesting as u think. today is just a normal sunday. normal??? noooo !!! its my sons birthdayyy. getting seven years old. happy birthday Artos ! !

what is the best part of nijmegen? the road back to arnhem? a burned down soccer supporters pub? (i didnt do it). a crime rate that tops rotterdam?
no no no. it is the pokerculture there. i have to admit , they like to play poker and they do it well. 10 out of the top 25 best players come from nijmegen and i recently learned that i have been playing them for months now. (and sometimes even winning).
yesterday we had a game of 35+4 with 45 players and we were early this time. i came to talk with the man who organizes the weekly games in the wsnntpbiisi "= we shall not name the pub because it is still illegal". and he told me that out of the 30 regulars who are playing in the wsnntpbiisi, 8 are in the top 25 of the netherlands.

but look out. 2 weeks ago a new pokerclub was born, PGA Poker Gang Arnhem. (again i didnt invented the name). there motto: learn from each other and win as much money from others. we have weekly meetings where we will re-play hands and discuss them and help each other out with money, time managment (wich means, we have to babysit in turns) and knowledge. my job for instance is to teach the theory of poker to autodidaktic players. to filter out the standerd misstakes they make and help them on their way to learn the fundamentel principals of poker. our goal: go to tours in the netherlands with 4 / 5 players and at least one of us has to finish in the top 3. we have 5 members now and we want to have around 10 members. eric bedbiet, lucky herman, straight wouter (we still dont know if he is gay or not, romour goes he sleeps with a teddybear), analyzing anakha and yours truelly alex anti-squat are the founders.
but back to nijmegen

35+4 euro, 45 players, 3000 chips, 25/25 starting level and 15 min intervals.
hot hot hot. not only the pub but mainly the cards. (and the girls who were watching. o my buddha, was i ever so young and slender).
i started of in the BB with a straight on the flop , to bad it was on the lower end and after a bet and 2 callers AND pairing the board on the turn i was happy to check it down to the river where a flushdraw showed, lucky i won the hand and the pass of the evening was set. one orbit later i held AQs in the BB and with 3 limpers i raised the pot. i got one caller and the flop came XXX with 2 of my suit. i did my contibet and was called. the turn gave an A and i checked the hand and villian did make a big bet. he bettet 1300 into a 950 pot. hmm i suspected a set or 2 pair so i reraised him allin. he folded after some thinking and said that i could make that move one time and one time only. lol i am a goldmember now and i watched some of HoRRoR's coaching and i've learned the power of the AA (Allmighty Allin). i use it more then i ever did before.
lucky herman did very well. euh to be honest, not really but man was he lucky. 3 players where allin and he called them for almost 3/4 of his chips with T9s. flop came AQJ and 2 off the players jumped in the air , one had hit a set of aces and the other one had hit 2 pair. turn gave a 4 and the river... offcourse, we are talking lucky herman, the river gave him a straight with an 8. a fine stack he had and he kept it 'till the final table. every time he went into a big pot he was the dog but after the board was dealt he was the one wagging his tail.
after the first break, eric and i bleeded to dead. a shortstack raised in middle and i in the CO pushed him allin with AKs, he called with ATo and the flop gave a T , wich held up. lost 1600 chippies on that one. darn shorties.
i was knocked out in 12th place with AQs (again). i raised preflop from middle and BB called. again the flop gave me 2 of my suit and a Q. conti bet/call. the turn gave me the third Q and i bettet and was raised allin , i called and vilian showed QJs ...and offcourse the river gave a J. i think i have offended the lady whos name we will not mention (starts with a L and ends with uck). hmm think i have to bring in the voodoo dolls again. or maybe she was on herman side that evening.
5 players to go. herman is second or third and raises in the CO with AQo (what is it with those AQ) . SB (short) pushes and herman calls. eric and i were watching and even before herman bettet , eric says to me that SB had something. talking about tells. a big smile is a dead give away. unlucky for herman, he didnt noticed that smile (he was lookig at the ladies at the rail). SB turn over pocket rockets, the big american airlines, the main hand, the one and only AA. the flop gave that last A and a T2. SB was beaming with joy. herman got up and walked to the bar to find some luck at the bottem of a bottle. little did he knew that the turn and river made him AGAIN a straight. from a 8.6 dog preflop and a 5 % dog post flop , he became a 100% luckbox in the end. imagen the look on SB face. so if u ever play at NL25 at party or everest and see a player called kim_jansen, give her the greetings of lucky herman from arnhem. she will love you for that. hehe.
and then ... bad move after bad move. limping utg with 66 and calling an allin cost him 1/4 of his stack. trying to pick up the pot in the BB cost him again 1/4 of his stack and a 3 players allin with 96s knocked him out in third place, picking up about 270 euro and a bottle of scotch.
rest me only to tell u that we will be playing next week, same place, same buyin and hopefully a different winner. (me , i hope).

ever heard of the tom waits album swordfishtrombone? well listen to it and then u know how we feel. the songtiltles "down , down. down" , "just another sucker on the vine", "town with no cheer", "trouble's braids" , "underground". it looks as it is written for us. the PGA , pokergang arnhem had some trouble with suckers , and we were going down without any cheer. we are hiding underground now in the neighborhood.

it all started last tuesday. wouters mom had bought him a little present (they are filthy rich), a new second hand car. ooh ooh shouts his sister, ooh ooh let me take it for a spin. pls pls pls. now as a brother u can say NO to some blue eyes, but no sir, he just gave het de keys and one hour later she called and told that she had water in the radiotor. the phone was on the speaker and i allready felt my hair in the back of my neck raising. and yes, this was a typical http://www.frau-am-steuer.de/ story. she had driven the car straight into the rhine. blub blub blub. so we were down to one car with only 3 seats. and 6 players. hmm we highcarted for it and eric, wouter and i won. we were going to Nijmegen for our weekly freezeout in wsnntpbiisi "= we shall not name the pub because it is still illegal". we arrived perfectly on time and we were off.

freezeout 35+4 , 2500 chips, 15 mins intervals , 43 players
nothing nothing nothing and i can write these words for 3 hours. i just didnt get any cards. as usual the other players were betting and raising the most silly cards and i was just itching to get some cards. i promised any God my second born if i would get any aces or kings. but i think JAHWE has something against me. (ME? im innocent. really. i never curse and i go to church every sunday). and then .. sudden.. out off the blue... in the BB .... tata tata tatatata... KK yeah . utg limps , utg2 limps , middle 1 limps, middle 2 limpsCO limps , BU limps and (as expected) SB limps..... what to do? .....blinds 25/25

btw eric managed to get to the final table. as dealer.

freezeout 30+5 . 3000 chips. 20 minutes intervals, 66 players
it started of fine. utg raises to 120 and with 5 callers i also called with A5s in the CO. the flop gave AK3 with 2 of my suit. utg bettet a little more then 3/4 pot. i had him on AK. i was the only one who called his bet. the turn gave a 6 and utg bettet again only half pot. again i called in the hope to hit my flush, he was giving me odds. and then the river gave a 3. as the last card hitted the board i shouted : YESSS and then shoved all my chips in the pot (before it was my turn). i mumbled something like sr sr and took some chips back but then i said, well leave them there , im allin anyway. utg took some time and said that he would make a hard laydow AND THEN HE SHOWED KK . WHAHAHAHAHA HE FOLDED A BOAT, FULLHOUSE. KKK33.

in the same level ron had KK utg and made a normall raise and ws raised with just a minbet. he called and at that table the flop also gave AK3. ron checked and villian pushed. an easy call , KKK , would you call? offcourse. lol but not against AAA. exit ron. he didnt mind, beer is very cheap there. at our way home we had to stop 2 times. one time to let him take a leak and the second time..... barf.
eric made a nice preflop call with 4 limpers with one of his favorite hands. the mika, no not that band with that silly tune but named after his son. a mika is a 2 gapper, 95. 85, J8 . u can read somewere in this thread why the hand is his favorite. he doubled and with a same hand he doubled again.
and then horror struck , nooo not our tournament coach but real horror. we both had aces (different tables) and we both lost against 55. can u believe it. i dont , but it happend.

where were we? oyea, AA got crushed by middle pair. it happens but it is not nice. something else that should be forbidden : garlick at the tables. it was really smelly and everybody had problems with it. i asked them to forgive me and i promissed i would never eat garlick pizza again before i play.

back to the cards. after my badbeat i only had something like 12BB left and i was on pushing mode. i won blinds with AK and later on again the blinds with KTo.
eric was also short but didnt had any change to win some chips, slowly but steady he was bleeding.
so what to do? yea Jameson wiskey. we both had some drinks and finally we started to play looser. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. for me it didnt. i pushed QJs in the BB and was called by 55 (again) . on the flop i got my Q but a runner straight gave me the 12th place and a free beer.
eric went to the final table as shortstack and in the second hand he got the aces he was hoping for. a very loose player called his bet and on the flop he pushed. now he had 9000 with an average of 14000. some hands later he held AQ and pushed again, this time he ws called by KQs. the dealer slowly put the flop down. the first one was an ace and everybody was cheering for him (he's a nice guy) the second card was a 8 and the thirt flopcard was a 4. all nice cards for a AQ against a KQs. dont u think? noooo they were all in the suit of the villian. boooohhhh. the turn gave an 8 , so on the river he had 4 outs. but sadly, 5 minutes later we were in our car back to the lovely and beautyfull city of Arnhem.

next wensday we will play again in that ugly town on the other side of the rhine and hopefully we will get some money there.
it will be my last tourney for this month because my girlfriend is coming over. i havent seen her in 5 weeks so we will have something else on our mind.
