option 3 is best imo b/c your long term goal is success in buisness so staying in Vienna would be the best longterm. Option 1 would be the most fun though.
[x] 4 ladyboys detected ♠_o:
cause u already had it on your mind, i would stick with option 1. u can still work on your future plans from there, but i think having a different sourrounding at least for the beginning will help u get more creative.
i know that u wont get distracted by the more laidback lifestyle as soon as u start thinking bout biz, so option 1 sounds great imo
Option 2 imo ![]()
Better weather + getting insights on a completely different life/business culture (and definately not a less succesfull one) in Asia. You'll have a competitive advantage over europe-only business men.
Im up for 2) cuz awesome white sand+awesome blue sea+ redbull for $0.25
+ asian chicks ofc
I'd say 2 too just cuz everything it's new there for you as Joenaes said: culture, lifestyle, places, people and you sir deff like this things + if you visit china (shanghai - which it's the best place to make real estate business atm) maybe you'll get some ideas for your plans ♦
3,0,0,0 @ that picture
I think you are a bit too ambitious with option 2 in terms of exploring business there. most of the time you are partying and playing poker
so i think option 1 is also the best one rather than 3 because you already lived so long in Wien
(Also flying tickets to Schwechat are overpriced
)
thnx 4 your opinions guys. will think about my options the next weeks.
sick life today. weather rockzzzz bigtime ![]()
after cycling and swimming action, i chilled in the sun while listening to michael jackson this is it album and reading some finance stuff. ![]()
any of u guys know this guy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nassim_Nicholas_Taleb
sick stories, great guy. respect.
btw, short excursion: variance @ stock markets: just read it before and it made me laugh.
"suppose that there were ten thousand investment managers out there, and that every half of them, entirely by chance, made money and half of them, entirely by chance, lost money. and suppose, that every year, the losers were tossed out and the game was replayed with those who remained. at the end of five years, there would be three hundred and thirteen ppl who had made money in every one of those years, and after ten years there would be nine ppl who had made money every single year in a row, all out of pure luck."
better be one of those 9 i would say
anyway, edge seems to be rly small even for the best of the best. so poker market > stock market, strip club > investment fund
now im off tho pwn the tables muhahahah ♠_cool:

2 questions @ all:
1) anybody read any of those books? any must read? i think i'll have to read the black swan, but not sure about the others ...
i just know tipping point so far.
2) anybody into investments/finance/trading? pls add me in skype, maybe u wanna join our discussion group
sidenote: getting more and more powerrrrr day by day muhahaha. ah yeah, and im pwning the tables bigtime
I read a brief history of Time from Hawking, pretty solid book but I dont think that one is what you are looking for
I don't recommend going to Macau to play live. I've played there during the APPT and the skill level is a LOT higher than most other live casinos.

The God Delusion is very good, but kind of obvious. Look at this.
Haven't read The Tipping Point, but read Blink, which I thought was very good. You'd like it. It basically says success is 1% talent and 99% hard work.

I think you mean ''Outliers'''. Blink is about unconscious/concious thinking blended with intuition, experience.

Hmmmmm. Maybe I'm more confused than I thought.
I started writing some book recommendations for you, but thought I'd rather put it in my blog, so if you hop over there, you'll see the four books I have picked out for your amusement and education. Feel free to recommend some to me. Not that I ever seem to have time to read any more.
thnx again for the recommendations prof! (bow)
2 issues im thinking about atm
1) private coachings
i am absolutely overbooked with private coachings atm. i have no idea where all these ppl get to know that i coach, but probably the community is bigger than i expected ![]()
the combination of producing vids for ps, playing a whole lot on my own, party/travelling a lot and working on my world domination plans makes me rethink the whole private coaching thing.
i dont want to quit that, cuz i like it a lot and it serves as a great balance. also i get to know ppl from all over the world, which is cool when im travelling around.
however, i need to change something. basically i see 3 options:
a) coach for my current 125$/150$ per hour & just tell decline ~ 50-75% of my requests
(the prob is, almost all students take the 4 hour package, hence i just get 125/hour + for 1 hour i usually lose 1.5 hours time cuz i never stop the session after exactly 1 hour + preparation time (like qutting running tables etc. so the hourly is not even 100, which is rly waaay to low to do it as often as i do it atm)
b) increase price as long as i just get 1-2 requests per week ♦
c) in between solution like 175$, no discounts + declining some requests (but what requests am i declining? u are from germany? k, u are out! brasil? oh yeah, u're in ♦ )
2) offline poker br
- so far i have very detailed excel sheets about my online bankrolls + my offline bankroll / lifetime winnings. for online its quite easy: as soon as i cash out, i regard the cashed out money not any longer as br, but as part of my lifetime winnings. usually i invest this money to get some interest
- however, since i think i will slowly start playing more and more higher stakes offline, i was thinking about getting another bank account (with own atm/maestro card etc) for the only use of poker. cuz till now, my daily bank account also serves for my live gaming br. so having 1 bank account(A) for daily stuff (parties, car, travelling etc), 1 saving account to get some interest where all my online and offline winnings come together and 1 bank account(B) for my live game br sounds like a solid idea. any thoughts on that?
it just seems a bit awkward to have rl + live game money on the same account. that way i think i should be able to treat the money from account B more as "play money" as if it came from the same account as my daily stuff.
just feels strange to me to lose 5k from that account in 2 flips and then book crazy 2 week boarding holiday action for 2k ♦
i think i could play a bit more aggro with money that is "just" for live poker purposes.
lols i better stop writing now and start some crazy monkey driving action. still 25 degrees, cabrio ftw!! ♠_love: need to drive to my apartment, big action planned for tomorrow
// @ tln: whats your thought on that? how do u wanna handle it longterm? continue to just have 1 account for party/travelling/live games/online winnings incoming?
as always, any comments/ideas/recommendations highly appreciated
Maybe you could tell more about how you started to work as coach and when you realised that you can make monnieez by coaching? Coz it's probably in one of my longterm plan - to become microstakes coach.
Hello, sir, the Great One.
usually i invest this money to get some interest
Where do you invest? If it's a secret - no prob, just wondering how epic poker mind thinks and deals with money ![]()
Also, since I noticed you're interested in stock markets... I'd suggest to drop that matter, 10% yearly profit is big success in stocks, while in poker you could/should expect to double your bankroll or so ^^ (I have stock trader's licence, know what I'm talking about). I'd suggest you to dive in FOREX - foreign currency exchange market. It is sick, just like HU PLO. Tons of opportunities, nice fundamental knowledge + some technical analysis stuff and you are ON
(successfuly defended master thesis about FOREX, so I'm not just babbling ^^). The largest and the most liquid market in the world awaits. When you conquer it and make millions - don't forget me ![]()
Also watch out for pigeons - they love shitting in cabrios
(this time I have no experience in this. That is, I don't have cabrio, but have experience of pigeon shit on my head
).
The good thing about stock market is, there hardly are boundaries concerning starting capital. Your 'edge' doesnt dissappear. If you can get 10% yearly as an active investor. You will get it if you have €10k or €10M. In poker you have a decreasing edge as you move up in stakes.
I don't know much about FOREX though, I am more specialised in Turbos, which are also pretty nice if you know something about them.
