Ah man I should really stop playing mtt's, every week 1k goes down the drain because of it . Gonna take a month break from it or so, its the 5th consecutive week that I cashed small in only 1 of the 15 tournaments or so.

Tomorrow more working on thesis :f_love:

Hey yo,

Sup?

Uni-wise: I worked some on my thesis, still not much, have to increase my efficiency but still it's better than nothing (like the previous 6 months).

Pokerwise: Getting better day by day in NLHE and PLO (I'm reading Hwangs book volume I atm and it's really good).
Played two tournaments today while watching the game and every time again I'm so surprised by the fact that the people have an IQ of 80 at average in these things. This big ship needs to come soon because I keep losing at them.

Some examples to clarify what I'm talking about (all happened in the same tourney today):

WC-wise: My favorite team just went through to the finals . Many bets will be won if they manage to pull it off and I'm pretty confident in it cause Holland only played well for 45 mins this tournament.

I am actually really considering going to Spain for the weekend but none of my friends want to go for just 2 days because flight tickets are too expensive for that short period of time.

i am ready to bet 5k$ against u.

Definately gonna think about it, although the latter option sounds not so appealing to me. Problem is a bit to find a month where i can put 30-31 days of volume in. If I finish master thesis now this month, I might be able to go for it next month or something from 15-15sept. Gonna think about this :)

If you want to try to make $40k in one mopnth at nl200 I will buy ALOT OF action, I like free money. odds for doing this is probably like 8:1, but it is unlikely you would get a lot of action

I'll buy some too. you gotta have like a 3ptbb/100 for 350k hands. maybe u can run better than that i dunno

So what $k goal will your 1:1 action be?

@Toby: Also rb does count ofc

But indeed I admit that 40k is probably a bit ambitious but still I think I crush NL200 pretty hard

12.5-15k should give some 1:1 action. I think there was a prop made on 2p2 for 100 bi (20k) for 3.5:1 odds or smth, so if you are willing to make a propbet, that is the place to be.

So, university time is coming to an end. I am slowly but surely finishing my thesis and will hand it in somewhere around the middle of August. Let's hope I finally pass...:).

My biggest concern is actually: "what to do next?".

I am pretty sure I will not start applying for a 9 to 5 job in town here, that is not the kind of thing I look forward to. Most likely I am going to get a grinding house somewhere with a few friends for playing and as a 'home' to come back to after travelling (also something I'm gonna increase a lot after uni).

In a few weeks I'll go to Gibraltar to get as much information about living/taxes/appartment etc. probably together with TT. This is a very valid option atm because of its favorable tax-situation (something that is not clear at ALL in Belgium and it is important to have clean money for my future plans), + the good weather (although winters suck there I heard ), but then I can move to some more exotic country to grind:P.

In the long future I want to start my own business, preferable in some green business, or at least something that benefits society. One of the few things what I dislike at poker. This is also the reason why I don't want be become a 'pro for life'. Nevertheless I really like the game and the benefits it gives me.

Pokerwise:
Not playing this much but when I play I still feel that I crush a lot of the players on my limit, so that's good. This weekend I went to another poker player in the neighbourhood to go in semi-lockdown-grind mode. We had a good time. Playing together is just so more fun and motivating. No problem to play 8 hours a day then. Also won some good amount of money, so I like _thumbsup:.

Gonna start some tournaments now (I know I said I wasnt going to play them for a while :P, but I'll limit myself to $20-$50 ones and only one $200 (SWU).

Peace :)

Not necessary, U can control the word by urself but u will have to have loyal sevants who would help u to rule some provinces (but u would have to limit their influence etc.0)

AND if u will help each other there is no way u wouldnt fight for more influence
FE i fu would divide or spheres of influence exactly on halves with the same industry, army, economy, regional stability etc. (lets jsut assume it is possible even though I doubt that) u would start to fight, do some espionage etc.
All we have to do is look at the history. Good example is Roman Empire (Ceasar getting the power, dividing the roman Empire etc.) or even SSSR (Stalin-Lenin-Trockij) There is even more examples but whatever

MAYBE u would learn from their mistakes but u are a human and humans tend to fail in so many thinks.

It is double pleasure to deceive the deceiver :)

Your last sentence made me laugh TheShade because you are pointing to everyone except yourself :f_biggrin:

But I don't want to rule the world, I want to have an impact on it. The way that I want to achieve this goal is 'simple': Start a business that creates value for people, in a way that they are willing to change their behaviour in a direction that, according to me, leads to a better, more peaceful world.

Or, short story shorter:

Be the change that you want to see in the world. (Gandhi)

I agree :) Why would I wirte smht like: Humans, including myself, tend to fail i so many thinks. My sentence sound better and it indirectly claims that I will fail as well (if I am human)

Oh well, why should I admit that I am a peace of failure (I can change other "leaks" in my life but I would always be a peace of failure in a way) when I cant change it or if it is possible to change then I or anyone else would have to dedicate their whole life to it and decrease the amount of technology impact on the person (thats my opinion at least and it is even scientifically proven I think)

Joenas: Then I agree, thats the way to go for sure and you will slightly help to change the word

Then my long spam-post was directed to TT

Oh, and sry for spamming the blog, I am done with it (for now )
