I will be starting to play full time soon and most likely will be playing pokerstars. I understand the importance of rakeback but there doesnt seem to be rakeback for stars, its a vip scheme, can u make the same money playing full time with this scheme??

As far as i'm aware the VIP scheme is as good as Full Tilt's rakeback scheme once you get to Platinum star. Also the rake Pokerstars take at the lower limits is a lot less than FTP.

If you can get to Supernova or Supernova Elite the rewards you get for it are far better than FTP rakeback :)

thanks...i just dont want to be missing out on crucial money because i know alot of full time players rely heavily on rakeback money for monthly profit rates

This has not been true for several months and there were massive 2+2 threads about it when Stars silently increased their rake.

In any case Stars is no worse than FTP in this regard.

Oh is that so?

I disagree with a database to concur with Wrigs.

The question is, can you really make Platinum playing NL5?

If the answer is no, FTP is still cheaper.

The rake on Pokerstars is far less than on Full Tilt i'm afraid, up untila tleast NL50 I believe. The threads on 2+2 were stating Stars have increased their rake, but as far as I know the FUll Tilt rake is ludicrous on these limits meaning Stars is still cheaper :)

I am not going to argue with you, because you always think you're right.

It's not that. I don't play enough volume to get "rakeback" at Stars so its an easy decision for me.

Edit:
As far as the NL micros go:
Party and OnGame are the same as Stars ($0.01 per $0.20), but Party caps at $1, OnGame at $1.50 and Stars at $2.
iPoker is the same as Fulltilt ($0.01 per $0.15), but iPoker caps at $1 and Fulltilt at $2.

Excuse me for a bit while I go cash-out from iPoker. :f_mad:

I just want to know simply 1 thing. its not how much they take its how much u get back in relation to how much they take. if im playing full time poker....will it be more profitable for me to play full tilt and get rakeback or play pokerstars and get the vip rewards??

If you can make Platinum then Stars. If you cannot then FTP (regardless of the limit you play).
