At the moment I'm playing FL .25/.50.

Everyday when I start playing, I lose about 30-50BB in half an hour.
I know, you will say: "thats nothing", but anyways... its really irritating.
At the start of every session I play really bad. And I know it... I bet against calling stations, I call when I know that I'm beat with let-me-see-if-he-has-what-I think-he-has excuse, I bet with low pairs, bet on suited flop, bet with bad pot odds and much much more.

Then I just stop for a second and I say to myself... What the hell am I doing, I have to start playing... For real... And then I play... 1st hour... I'm close too 0BB (start of the day)... 2nd hour... I'm at 0BB... 3rd hour... Huray, I made 10BB. :P

And this story repeats from day to day. In the last 14 days, I've never made -BB. At the end of a day of course :) ... My "profit/hand" in PokerOffice looks like sine trend...

Don't know what to do really... I think I'm playing well... Maybe I just need a bit more of "self-management".

P.S. I was really furious when I started this thread, but now I'm OK
I think I'll solve this... Should I even press "post new thread" button? Eh... :)

HMM better than starting with a "+" and ending with "-".

Btw 10BB is nice for 3 hours. Don't forget that youi are still learning and that you can't start with 2BB/100. :)

Have you tried starting half an hour later?

@ciRith: That's true. But I ask myself... "Where would I be, if I didn't tilt at the start" :)

@Werdna: :P
Yeah, when I join a table, I should check "deal me out" for half an hour :)

I made it!

Today before I started to play I read my post here...
And there was no tilting at the start of my playing today...
So I made 40BB in 2 hours :)
Yipey. I can move up a level now ;)

lol :P

dont play 0.5/1 FR :) Go to SH. 0.5/1 FR really is sick, and I did start playing NL because of 05/1.

(and get that $500 of rake so I get my ref money :))

why is 0.5/1 FR so sick ?

its just evil. you expect players to actually understand the game like it is thought to be played. but no, they raise raise raise with nothing. and when you finally call them down then you lose :)

edit: btw NL 0.5/1 is almost as sick as FL :)

there is a part of me that fully understand's you..as for me.. every time i want to do nonsen's.. call.. or w/e you know.. i remember one players words.. " consider it a test to your patience and fold. If you don't succeed here, you don't have any patience. And if you don't have any patience.. you're probably becoming a sucker already." it works for me..just ask your self.. r you "sucker allready?" and then if you want call.. ;)

This is getting pretty boring. I just don't seem to be making any progress.
This is a graph from last 33 days (26,402 hands):

Graph

I know exactly how you feel because I'm in the same situation. (Even a bit worse.. 40k hands and down. ^^)

That's a NL100 graph? It looks like you're getting into big pots far too often. A normal 250 hand session shouldn't be anywhere near that... bouncy.

EDIT: Oh, I confused posters.

EDIT: and didn't realise that was hundreds of hands. Oh, hell. Could someone delete this post?

I could but...

The graph really looks like it's really only 250 NL hands but this could be special settings of the graphing software as well. :)

Hands # is divided by 100. It's a 26k hands graph. It's NL50.
