I don't really know if this fits in to this category but i need advice about organazing a live poker tournament ![]()
Can someone please give me a link with some standart poker tournament rules? It's about 30-40 people
check and check
this is a first time thing, so i really wouldn't want to f' up
the thing i'm most scared of, is that something will go wrong with the lenght of blind levels. What would be appropriate for those 30-40 people?
Do you have dealers? Or do the players deal themselfs. Cause that's where I found most probelms, people start complaining because it takes too long or whatsoever and the mood can get pretty nasty quite fast. So I think having fixed dealers who are very confident about the rules create a nice and easy atmosphere...
Whe are trying to find dealers but if we couldn't get them we would deal ourselves! We figure if there is a mistake, f.e. a card is flipped over, then it's pronounced "dead". Would that be correct?

it's pronounced exposed..
try two packs of cards if you end up dealing yourselves - especially once someone is knocked out. They can shuffle and get it ready while the current hand is going on, saves loads of time.
Assuming you have nice friends who are happy to deal cards rather than sulk off and clear you out of beer.
