If you're calling flop, you need to have a plan for the turn. If you call flop I think you can safely presume he's leading turn again with whatever he has. So if you thought you were good on the flop folding to his turn bet seems pretty bad since the 4 really changes nothing.

Getting it in seems fine if you think flush draws and other overpairs are still in his range.

Imo the flopcall is very standard.
OOP I'd 3bet, but IP we can easily call (here we even have the redraw) and play IP - he doesn't have many valuehands in his range (and against some of them we're even ahead) so we want to keep in his bluffs.

The plan is to not fold the turn ♦.

I'm still undecided which option I like better on the turn, shoving seems a bit better than calling.
If we call the turn I think it's unlikely he bluffbets again on the river unless it brings a scarecard like a :diamond:, but in this case we're in a tough spot anyway.
Additionally if he actually has a hand like JJ/QQ that he's playing for value he might get scared on a diamond river so we potentially miss out on value.
Obviously we also don't protect by calling the turn.

I usually call flop and shove blank turn.

People keep playing back on you with c/r with FD, straight draws, overpairs, even top pair in this spot. Ofc there are sets in his range but it is still EV+ broke spot.

Imo on the dry flop it is much more ugly as his raising range narrows to more sets and less FDs.

Going broke on flop is too strong and you might make hands like 99-JJ fold, whereas they are willing to invest on turn if you call. (and you don´t need to protect against them as they have only 2 outs).
