Well I'm not to happy atm. I'm actually thinking of withdrawing my roll and quitting for a month or something.

I hate everything about poker right now. I mean I feel like I'm playing well. Taking every situation as it comes and not playing like a robot but the money just keeps spewing.

I have no mindset or plans for future of poker. I don't think I could ever fully quit. I'm to addicted and involved in the game. I work with poker. I have friends who play poker. I work online for poker. Everything is poker.

I'd love to just play MTTs but I don't have the time I guess. Plus the amount of time and little return when your breaking-even/losing tilts me to no end. I don't know if I'd be able to put enough volume in for them....Ideas?
I'm unavailable during 5-1130. Monday-Friday. And I like to party weekends so MTTs aren't really the best. Unless I quit my job and went pro but that won't be an option any time soon. I like my job to much plus I don't have the coin for it.

I'm out. Peace

I'm taking a break from serious poker. I just don't enjoy the game atm especially when I'm losing.
I've withdrawn my whole roll. ~$1,6k and I played the last of my FPPs. Was like 2600FPPs or something. Won 3 280FPP 6max games so I've got $33 in T$.
So will prob mess around if I get SUPER bored.

Couple of reasons I have decided to give poker a rest for awhile (bout a month)

  • I'm losing

  • No motivation to play/learn

  • Losing is making me angry and depressed

  • I don't enjoy the game atm

  • I will be able to concentrate on body boarding more, Poker takes so much time out of it because I sleep in and miss waves because I have been grinding all night

  • I'm tilting and its affecting my game not only on the virtual felt but in rl life

I've got a great month coming up with loads of things to keep me occupied. So hopefully I'll just be able to chill. Not have to stress bout the game and come back with a a better head. I'll prob read the rest of Poker-Mindset.
But, I'm not sure if that's a good idea either...
Whole point of this is to give it a break and come back fresh.
Should I just eliminate everything poker from my life (excluding my job)?
Should I not play live MTTs?

Would love to hear from some experienced guys that have felt this way so I know where to go from here.

Won't be posting much over this period but I'll check in every now and then.

Goodluck to everyone. Peace.
Much

You are awesome, Sir!
my username is (obv) "Jehudas" ;)

I really wish you a great time in RL - taking a break when fed up is most often a very wise decision... When I was busto I had a real big break of like 8 months - but then suddently the lust for cards came back and I deposited $10. So cannot really give you an advice whether to totally back off of poker or just reduce the "hours"... :f_biggrin:

Thank you, thank you, thank you - you are far too kind! =)
I'll let you know whether I made the grand final or not...

Have fun and take care!

Just checked enrolled players of the grand final and saw you on there! Good luck and see you at the tables (quite improbable except both of us make it to the final stage... ;)
Might come over to your table eventually - just to check your avatar and say "hi" :f_cool:

Man, i wish u to come back soon. It's really needed to make a break, but it hould be not huge. Just think of everything, try t find some fun outside of poker. Then come back and start to climb up again, finding leaks in ur game and psycology and fix it.

P.S> And don't disappear from skype, i'll wait 4 u there _thumbsup:

Good decision. I'm sure we'll have you back soon. No one quits poker. :f_biggrin: Unless you ship the WSOP and lose motivation. :f_confused:

@Jehudas, No worries mate. GL and I don't have an avatar. people recognise pictures to often and they remember a player. avatars are -EV IMO

@No Emotion, Thanks. That's the plan. I'm always on skype so say hi :)

@alenstrat,

No one quits poker.

man. avatar is like NLP, ppl will remember something that knows ony god and each human. U cant say what he can remember about u and ur play. For exaple i if see something ugly, im getting very bad opinion about that player as a man. That's only my opinion.

Oh god my blog fell back to page 3.
I know ive been on a break but you could of quote trained it haha

Passion is kind of there but I still feel like there is tilt there.
I've been playing NL5 SH BSS and been running at like 50bb/100 over 2k hands or something. It's such a soft limit.
Also, been playing some micro MTTs. guessing im bout breakeven/+ with them.

Study wise I've been watching >NL25 BSS SH vids. I still can't bring myself to read an article. I get bored after first paragraph.

Work on mindset more then, pretty simple :)

there is no difference in players at 5NL-25NL, and as you know that winrate is not sustainable :)
