Min raises from utg could be a monster but in general they are just weak. The flat is almost always a weak hand.
So due to the fact that you decided that you will call a push it easier if you push it yourself. They are around 20bb and there are like 1500 chips in the pot already. With AK I would go for it prob every time.
And take a note of what hand he showed up with.

AK is a deceptive hand because it has potential, but it is not a made hand - I would avoid AK shoves unless you know your opponent has a tendency to fold (and you want to induce a fold - not always the right move).

I think you played the hand well - and it came down to a coin flip.

What range did you have your opponent on min raising from UTG AQ-A8? 55-TT? KQ? You have most of his range dominated.

Minraises from UTG are just like UTG+1 flats not "always weak", neither "always monsters". It highly depends on your opponents, so what to do if you have no reads?
I dont have a "best play" to offer, I can just talk about opportunities and criteria.

Possible is everything but folding, which is clearly too weak.

If you raise you need to compare your opponents calling/4betshoving ranges to decide whether to raise or to shove. AA, KK, AK would most probably go broke preflop anyway so the question is: would an opponent rather call a shove with AQ and worse or push themselves?
I guess the propability that one pushes AQ but folds it to a shove is higher that the other way round.
Thus I would prefer 3bet/call over pushing.

Another valid play is to just call preflop and evaluate on the flop again.
If you hit,you will get paid out very often by hands, you have crushed. If you dont hit, you get away cheaply.
But therefore you must be ready to fold AK often, which is OK in this spot.
