I keep getting the error code *could not create temporary directory* when installing Elephant. When the error pops up the installation rewinds and offers no suggestions as to how to fix this.

I google'd it and didn't find any solutions either. Does anyone have an idea as to how I can fix this?

Thank you.

Hey Arxyn,

which version of Windows are you using?

Have you tried running the installation as administrator / with administrator privileges?

I have windows XP and I believe I had administrative since it's my personal computer. I will look into that as well.

I tried re installing it again and it said my windows installer is in safe mode, so I'll try to change that too.

Will update in a bit if it works or not.

Thanks :)

You can try to install .NET 4 and .NET 3.5 prior to install the Elephant - This could also be the problem.

Oh - and please check that your hard disk is not full ;)

Ok I got it working, thanks for all the help.

My problem was two fold,

1- Windows Installer was outdated

2- I already had a temp. file in postgreSQL so I just had to delete that folder and reinstall it with Elephant.

Everything seems to be working great, thanks again.
