Ran super hot today. I had 10 stacks on a NL400 table after some sick hands. I'm so glad I played in the morning today. 2 Tables of NL400 FR and 4 tables of NL200 SH

Hmm I already made the PowerPoint for part 2 of my video but my hall computer has no camtasia, torrent is blocked at sch and my headset was left at sch. Will bring more stuff to hall this week. I alsostarted working on preflop part 3 - blind defense and squeezing but there aren't that many slides , only 14 so I will probably add many examples with elaboration on reading HUD values and postflop play. My 4th video will be about basic postflop play and equity theory and handreading. I'll try to work harder for all aspects of my life: sch, poker, videos. Anyway in sch I have been bumming around too much. I can't maintain 100 hrs per month it's just too difficult maybe 70plus. And tons of projects are starting to come. But I have a 3 day work week so ixan play and self study a lot on mon and fri

Playing at Full Tilt has been awesome. Maybe I'm on a heater for now but I still feel that my edge at rush NL200SH/NL400FR is super huge even when I play slightly on the spewy side once in a while.

So far I have made 16k (maybe 1.5k bonus) in about 5 weeks which is by far the best month of my entire career (thanks to 2 5/6k sessions). I'm not going to play on Stars after I clear the last bonus. Maybe I'll return during the school holidays when I feel like challenging myself once again and take a shot at the higher stakes.

Here's my school computer graph (2 Sep to 3 Oct, 41 hours, 36k hands):

Wirate is super-sick at 13bb/100 (18bb/100 at NL400 cause of the crazy heater sessions)

Currently I have a new strat for playing which is to play 3-4 tables while watching some show at a corner of the screen. Since I have a habit of marathoning TV shows, I can easily play 6 hours and above without stopping. Managed to sneak in 10 hours yesterday, 6h+2h at home, 2h at night when I went back to my room in school.

Definitely some would argue that I can't play A-game if I do that but I really don't mind playing B+/A- game instead if it is still super profitable at FTP. Furthermore there's not much difference between doing this and playing 24 tables with little concentration which I am very used to.

I'm just bumming around in my room playing 8-10 h a day for the past few days and putting in tons of hands. Doing pretty well, made a few k

Now for some hands worth discussing:

1) Opponent is a 14/9/4.6 guy, AF 4.5, WTSD 22% over 400 hands. Not much reads just that I coloured him orange which means aggressive but I don't remember why. When he makes such a small 4bet, I had position, we were 150 bb deep and I'm getting 3:1 odds, I decided to call. On the flop I have one over and BDFD/BDSD so I floated his 40% bet. On the turn I decided to make a small bet to set up a half pot shove on the river. Not sure if I should have gone ahead and shove the river on that Queen pair. I think I would play KK/AA in the exact same way, maybe AQs as well or some QXs trash.

2) Fuck this is standard spot to fold cause he has set here like 90% of the time. I guess I talked myself into calling the river. Turn call is standard though, I have 25% equity vs 55/66 and I can expect him to value own himself on the river if I spike since my FD is backdoor.

4) Villain has a 12% UTG range. I can't think of any hand that would play in this manner except JJ. QJs might be in his range but given the board there are no possible combos of QJs. And I'm never putting him on QJo when he raises from EP. I just snapped called this bet but thinking about this, I think this could have actually been a fold, despite the one combo of JJ and "one combo of QJo" (actually I think it's like 0.2 combo of QJo since its super unlikely)

played a short session about 45 min, breakeven and spewed off some money which I felt I could have saved.

1) I dont mind my turn raise because this guy has a super wide SB open raise range and also I expect him to barrel the K close to 100% of the time. Wanted to shut down all his bluffs so I did a small raise. I hate my river bet because the board is so dry and 2X would probably play this way because he doesn't get too much value shipping over me and I would fire all my monsters on the river anyway.

Another learning point is that I should be doing the same thing in his spot. I think I just ship way too often here, should always flat even with a set if the board is dry since we expect turn raisers to be damn strong usually. Let them continue their bluffs.

2) Ok my play was kind of spewy but so was his. He had 30% restealing range from the blinds and he's a 17/16/8.8. I did expect him to show up with a ton of crap but I didnt expect him to bet/call his stack off so light.

3) This is an obvious bet/fold spot against an aggro opponent who doesn't make pure air bluffs in 3way pots here and will barrel the turn super often. Vs this guy I'm not sure if it's a bet/fold or bet/call and reevaluate. I don't expect him to barrel draws if the turn bricks so maybe my flop call is good, given the pot odds?

Should I even be check/calling here? I should (but don't) check/call in a headsup pot since most somewhat aggro players bluff here like 70-80% of the time in this spot. But in a 3way pot it gets checked around way too often. Then again people don't raise so light (probably flat the medium draws IP) so maybe this makes bet/folding a better choice rather than check/calling since we cannot be too sure that it won't get checked around.

* after some thinking it should be a bet/fold since my equity against his overall range is probably 35% at most and my pot odds are around there as well. So many bad cards that can appear on the turn and river...

with the KQo you called vs. 3bet. What are you trying to rep? I mean you're repping overpairs/JJ/draws/air and don't really see you playing that line with most of your valuerange. Obviously just pure rebluffing vs. rediculously big ranges is ok, yet I kind of feel that this was just a spew. I think it's definately somewhat poor call villain made but also given what you said about his 30% range he propably knows you know that and is getting it in superlight. Seems that he outleveled you there, or just spewed but happened to be good. :f_confused:

1/3 of the month has passed and I think I have played about 30-40k hands. (maybe 40 h+ played). I still feel I'm not playing at my fullest potential (enough to crush Rush and beat Stars at a decent winrate). I also find it really hard to have a high non-SD line when you need tons of info to make 3 barrel bluff.

Though I have to admit I have been doing a couple of great bluffs after looking at timing tells (snap checking). Then again sometimes I know ppl aren't really strong but they call me down anyway.

Today I lost 1.5k at FTP and won a few hundred at Stars. I finally cleared the 500k VPP milestone bonus and I'm going to cash out 60% of my roll since the US Dollar is falling greatly and I have no idea if Monetary Authority of Singapore will allow the SGD to depreciate vs the USD. Not sure what you euro ppl do since the euro is in shitty shape as well (lost 33% of its value if i remember correctly).

My performance at Stars was decent, though I did a silly bluff vs nanonoko when I 3barrel (QJ) on AKXQX in a 3way pot with a fish. I thought he would give me credit since I was UTG and there was a fish, and even fold AQ but there were busted flushdraws there so it was silly in retrospection. Justforfunds made a hue mistake against me too in BvB when i b/c Turn with bot set and snap check the river pairing, then he shipped his flopped flush in.

I'm up $1800 for today. Peak was at 3k plus and I'm running 2k below EV. So far i have made 9k in half a month so I'm quite satisfied with my results so far. It seems my results with rush is quite consistent as compared to my irregular winnings at Stars.

I think my greatest edge lies in deep pots because I play on the conservative side and am more willing to make big folds whereas people stupidly stack off 200bb+ with crap hands. So longer sessions definitely benefit me in the long run, especially if I get into some spots with deep fishes and multi-stack them.

I'm probably going to record my third theory video soon, then maybe continue on postflop series or make a NL100 rush poker sweat video series. Anyone knows how to cover screenname in videos? If I can do that I don't mind making NL200 FR videos as well.

and I think my redline gradient is probably sloping 15-20degrees down which is a huge improvement from my PS days (25-35 degrees downwards). Hope to be able to maintain BE or slightly upward sloping redline in the coming months.

@joenaes - hint: I was ultra deep yesterday and I'm LAGgier than most. it's up to you to guess :) I definitely saw you at a few tables when we were playing yesterday

I finished producing my 3rd video on blind defence and squeezing but it's in my school computer. I'm having recess week starting today so I'm gonna play hardcore for one week and try to sneak in some occasional assignments/group projects at night if I can force myself to do so. I might be going back to school on one of these days for some group meetings so I can probably upload the video to the PS server

@peche: postflop has way too many stuff, I could probably make 10 more videos about various parts of postflop play. Then I could also make handhistory videos.

I'm fine with making sweat videos but I think theory has the most value, followed by handhistory. also sweat videos are too common in PS

@hannes: nope, no time no money and i dislike donkaments

I did sign up for some pokerkaki leisure world cruise for next week. basically a boat brings us to the cruise ship floating around at Batam (a resort island of Indonesia which is 1 h away from Singapore). So I'm gonna play the main event there. My friend won the previous event for 6000$ and the field is soft like most live events. Going to try my luck there and if I bust I'll play the NL500 cash games.

All part of the plan to become a poker pro - win some donkaments, get sponsorship by FTP and get 100%RB + 35$/h. Probably unlikely to work but I'll try
