Normally I figure once he's 3bet me he'll probably be happy going broke, so I just shipped it... Would it be better to make a smaller 4bet to get value from some more hands or is shoving fine?

I prefer to shove here, i think we're not ever 4-bet bluffing so 4-bet is always the nuts.

I guess you can 4-bet trap against a fish, but against regs, they might just fold QQ to a trappy looking 4-bet and call it off against a shove

Either shove or call in order to trap him. A regular 4-bet looks way too strong and makes you hands pretty obvious as well. Shoving looks weaker and therefore I think you are going to get much more value doing that.


shoving always looks weaker in this spot imo. especially against regs.

if you are up against a mega-fish you can 4bet small to induce
