I think he pays with a wide range on BvB. My reasoning on the flop is that he never has KK, theres only one combination of 99 left, so he has a very low prob. of having a very strong hand...

I also think since he knows me, he knows I have a wide range and he'd bluff raise a lot with trash, that's why I decided to turn my 2nd pair into a bluff expecting almost always a fold from his air or weakish draws, and push from 88, 98 and strong draws.. but he called and I didn't know what to do on the turn
