Weird play by him, maybe a A6/77/88? The five completes most of his straight draws on the turn...

I think you played it fine, a 9 calls you all day there, set is unlikely as hardly anyone leads out with a set in a $10 sng, you might even get some value from 77/88 if he's a complete donk.
