I managed to run over EV in my session last night <3 ! This run of games looks to be turning around now but we'll see what happens in the next few days
Steady progress, didn't do my 1k games in a week, had a couple of days of no play over the weekend. Nearly there now...
Lol, I'm just terrible at running good.
Staying with the same backer for the foreseeable future so probably won't update here again for some time.

Yea jokin4p, these games are seriously swingy - like 100BI swings ! Mebbe 250BI's++ would be better ♦

I know 100BI sounds exaggerated, but those stacks are so different, you 4 table for a while and everything is going all right for you, 2 or 3 top regs of these games join the tables and your game becomes considerably less efficient, you can control yourself and leave tables after 15 or 20 games, and thats enough to make you down more than what you expected (or not).
That's regerdless the higher variance due to the much lighter pushes (Jorj95 pushing me on the button 6BBs with 83o for exemple! and that rarely happens on a 10$ game).
And know that you can forget your A game for a quiet long period if you're like 1000 or 1500$ down, 20BI in these stacks represent much more in your life than 20BI on 5 or 10$ ones.
Just have a look at pokerstars regs graphs (and thats if we assume that you avoid tilt as good as a professional player).

I didn't realise you played in these games, how do you run ? I thought more than 100BI's was standard for going this high up the stakes with such a high variance game ? I'm personally not even playing the low stakes ST's on Full Tilt with less than 100BI's, but then my mindset isn't that healthy to accept huge swings and step back down.
Tbh I obviously don't really know what I'm talking about, just piecing together stuff that I've read like posts in Jorj's well thread on 2p2 where he talks about having had 100BI swings on more than 1 occasion. I guess 20-30 tabling you're gonna see this whereas 4 tabling you can have a higher ROI and less downswing (in terms of games not time).
Be interested to hear more about your experience playing them.

no no I've not been playing those games regulary, but only some sessions before realizing that they were much more heavy on my mental than what I tought...I had less than 50BI (like 4k$) when I've decided to try them, my first session ended with a bit less than 11BI up, and that made me wrongly dream of wealth ♦ and on days I understood why that was a bad idea to play them with that small bankroll and with no solid experience with swings (I finished like 5 or 6BI down in total), so returned to grind small stacks mtts
edit: sorry btw I missunderstood you when you talked about 250BI
