whats more important is that there is a misconception that you have to shove super wide in these spots. but not many people actually do the math, and understand how wide... (myself included until recently).

to paraphrase pzhon: 'one bad push from utg can wipe out a whole game of +EV plays'. some hands will have a huge negative edge here like -2 or more.

Crikey! Not being funny but I doubt 75% of regs are even close to that range. I see it occasionally but not often. Most know being tight in these games is wayyyy more paramount than mtt sng's.

Regading your SNE for next year decision...GOOD CHOICE!! Totally isn't worth it iyam, especially if you're not a MASSIVE mass tabler. And from your talk about struggling with 16 tables then I'm guessing you're not. That said, people are achieving SNE @ the mid stakes, never mind the $100's, but they are mostly 30-50 tablers....and yes their ROI's are crap. I myself have recently merged more onto FTP from Stars for the pure reasons of higher ROI's being attainable at the higher stakes (well mid stakes), and include that with your rakeback it has to be a ton less stressful than going for break even SNE, I mean that is seriously for masochists!

Are you Lesson on 2+2?

_confused:December 2010 wrap-up_confused:

FU december, easily the worst month of the year and the worst month ive had ever tbh. Thankfully a 30BI heater over my last 2 days brought me back to even. Didnt play my A game throughout the middle, was trying new things and not feeling good while running 70BIs < EV. Anyway, doing a 2k10 write-up tomorrow so stay tuned.

:club: Statistics :club:

Games played: 1011
Avg Buyin: $59.32
Length: 76.5hrs played
Average duration: 34.5min
Rake: $4970.50
FTPs: 99559
Winnings: -$1646.98 + $1338.12 rakeback +$55 TLB bonus +$100 ps.com rake-race +$760.25 loss covered by backers +$330.35 FTP value +$58.40 iron man medal value +$604.54 staking = +$1599.68
$/hr: $21.03
ROI: -2.7%
EV$ Adjusted ROI: 3%

_o:December 2010 Graph _o:

:spade: Review of December Goals! :spade:

  • [] make iron man (made gold...)
  • [] 1.5k games
  • [] 200,000 FTPs
  • [] wake up early each work day and be 100% focused (waking up at 6am each day, was a bit slack on my actual poker volume but put a lot of time into new videos instead of playing)
  • [] take more time off, away from poker.
  • [] produce 2 new videos (got 9 ready to be released!)

2k10 review coming tomorrow! happy NYE everyone
