For me this will be very busy year.
My plans RL is to graduate University Bachelor's degree, so my parents can be happy
Poker-wise at the moment I am playing as much as I can, so I can move up in the limits. Hopefully, in July Ill be winning in 30-50$ BI tournaments. (I am playing 2-10$ tournaments)
At the moment I dont have any money-wise goals till the end of this year, since those goals pull off the mind of the main problem - my game. But 10+k$ would be nice.
I like to make my aims as high as I can imagine happening at best case scenario, when life is good and so on. May be Ill fail in the way.. who knows. But still Ill be much higher than if my aims would be as low as "beat 10$ tourneys over good sample size bla bla bla"..

ohh I forgot one thing - win a local poker tourney :f_biggrin:

Hey guys.
Well my approach to 2011 is to build a bankroll to go pro on. so 2012 will hopefully be epic.
I'm a Mtt player and have made a blog where I will update with progress to target $15k and 8k games played.

My approach will include sweat sessions later on, and getting a network here on ps.com, will also use ps.com coaching with grummeler and seeberger for improving. And for first time in my "career" I have a hud and wiz so going to improve major just by starting to review my own games - That's how serious about this project I am.

So generally my approch to 2011 is that it's gonna be a great year. ;)

Oh yes this year I'm coming back into the game. _cool:

My goals are simple and they're all based on getting better. My view is that you can not control variance (tasted this with my own ass), so you can not control how much you will make and what limit you will have climbed.

So finally my goals are these:

1) Decide if I'm going to play HUcash or multitable the ring games. HUcash is fun, sure, but ring games provides a steady income (rakeback) and I see a lot of possibilities in Rush (FullTilt poker).

2) Sign up to a good poker training site. Probably deucescracked, but still going to do some research. (The site may depend on wether I'm playing HUcash or ring games).

3) Read some old rusty poker books, which I have shamefully forgotten about (Poker Mindset, Poker Blueprint, Exploting the Regulars, maybe get some new good books).

4) Constantly review my game, considering what I may be doing wrong.

5) Never excuse losing to bad luck, there's always room for improvement.

Everyone have a happy new year! (Except if you're ever at my table) :f_cool:

Hello,

2011 is going to be make it or break it for me. I am finishing uni soon and plan to play professionally if I make steady profit in these next few months. I want to try and become a big winner at 200NL and not break even. I also plan to take on the live game scene, play some live tournaments, and travel the poker circuit with a few buddies.

Toby

Hi,

I'm Ally,

I am going to enter more live tournaments in 2011.
Online I will move up the limits quicker by not withdrawing so often and keeping by bankroll as high as possible. I'm going make the most of all the promotions on FT and qualify for Black Card status.

I have been saving to go abroad so mabe take a trip to Vegas or Aus.
Sky dive is a definate if I go to Australia

Stop smoking soon hopefully.

My goal is to turn my starting roll into $500 and be playing NL20 BSS FR and 50c/$1 FLHE FR by the end of the year.

My plan is to:

1) Read and re-read all the basic and bronze articles pertaining to fixed limit and nlhe bss fr.

2) Get a firm grasp on all the content at silver level and endeavor to apply to to my game gradually as I move up the stakes.

3) Post at least 1 hand of interest every session I play

4) Attend coaching's for cash games at least once per week

5) Read at least 3 FLHE books and 5 NLHE books which are targeted more to the lower limit player (avoid getting too tricky/fancy whilst still a micro/low stakes player)

6) Play some micro SNG's and aim for +12% Roi or better and attend coaching's for these every few weeks or so.

Starting...... NOW

:)

I've started from 0 (yeah, litterarly)... got it up to 150$ (+around 100 spent on books), beaten 2nl on 2 sites/doing the third right now... but that's just not it... I mean, I get NL, it's a nice game, especially to grow your BR, but I'm just not feelin' it.
So my goal for this year is to get into FL... yeah, I know "it's regish", "rake sucks" & stuf like that... but after reading Hilger's book I really found it to be an amasing game... So I withdrew some money, got a few books and I'm ready to start grinding it...
goal 1) start at 0.05/0.1 FR just to get a feel of it
2) swith to 0.1/0.2 after few k hands (as I'm already rolled for it)
3) grind up to 0.5/1 where I would like to become a reg till 2012
_grin:

-don't miss a singles public coaching from Terrorblade
-reread Hilger + Small Stakes Holdem
- watch tons of videos
-regularly post hands for eval.
-do as many sweat sessions with interested people from forum as I can

My goals for 2011.... Well, it's going to be a big year, both in and out of poker. Firstly I have to make sure I don't concentrate everything on poker, as I have to pass my degree, and hopefully get a high enough mark to stay on for a Masters.

My main plan for poker is to conitnue improving and move up the limits, hopefully to NL100 by the Summer Holidays, and if I can be a consistent winner I want to convince my Mum that I don't want to get a job over the summer and get a taste of the professional poker players life for a few months This is simply because I want to know if i'm cut out for it, and if I can make it. 3 months of playing "professionally" will help me get a feel for it, also I hate real work

SO first things first I need to make another $300 or so and move out of NL25 for good with 25 BI for NL50, after that i'm going to be using a 30BI BRM rule. I also want to make Goldstar on Pokerstars on every month of this year, and depending on my limit come the summer, shoot for Supernova :)

my goal for 2011 is making 1500 pes month playing sit n go begging from 3.25 turbo or 6.6 regs...i made a bankr from 38 to 192$ but i had a very big bad streak and drop to 62 again...if you are interested pm...thx

Last year I took first shot in poker and finished with sad results - completely lost my 50$ bankroll on FTP. Main reason was exaggerated self-confidence. However, I'll be back. Now I put more attention to theoretical side of poker: reading some articles and watching some videos here, which I find very helpful.
So my 2011 plans related with poker would be:
1) Finish reading Barry's Greenstein "Ace on the River" and re-read some parts;
2) Re-read Doyle Brunson's Super System's part about NLHE;
3) Reach as higher limits as I can in PartyPoker, where I still have 25$ bankroll;
4) Play pokerstrategy's daily 100$ freerolls on FTP, try to reach TOP3 of course :). Highest place so far - 11th.

I think that my plans are manageable, because game becomes better and better.

Good luck all :)

Crush Rush and go pro. That's the short version.

Long version is to improve and climb as much as I can through the limits. No minimum target. To do this I plan on reviewing regularly and have further coaching when I move up in limits or when I have serious doubts about my game. To do all this mindset is key and the last month of 2010 helped me understand a lot of things.

All I want in life for 2011 is to produce as much rake as possible under pokerstrategy.com affiliated accounts

In 2011 i'm aiming to fit poker around my med school study, which may be difficult.
I play 9-man SnGs on Full Tilt; so my goal is to be crushing the $36s and (if I run good and put in good volume) the $60s by the end of 2011. As well as putting in good volume, I am committed to maintaining a good level of self-study and analysis, plus contributing to the <$5 SnG Hand Eval forums here on PS.com
Other poker goals:
-Try out some of the games on PokerStars
-Learn better cash game skills. Cash is really the fundamentals of poker, so I think improving my abilities there will make me a better SnG player (and allow me to pwn my home game even more :P)
Popular poker stuff for 2011:
Durrrrr should get his first bracelet
jungleman12 will keep pwning all the nosebleeds... he is one sick little human
