Without seeing the hand complete, i really wouldn't look at this hand very hard and feel cheated. If you called a preflop raise with 57o, your crazy. 57 suited, maybe...
On the flop, where there 2 suits to the guys flush? If there were and i was him, my hands would have been rubbing together so fast i would have friction burns against a straight draw board.
On the turn, any T would have you covered, TJ even better, but if ther river completed the Flush, it would be just more money for the guy with the flush draw...

All this in 103 hands! Hard is life of FL player

I wouldn't say that it is hard for the rest of the players you play based on your forum entries......

Yes it was 57s on SB. It was a raise and a caller, and I also called rightly guessing that BB would probably call too.
>>On the turn, any T would have you covered, TJ even better
Sure? The only hand that beats me on the Turn is T7, that was of course possible, but unlikely. Also I split with other 7, but with 2 other guys still in the pot, you still hope to get something.
So on the turn I had second nuts, but on that river there was NO hand that I could beat :)
Last, but not least. Of course I saw bad beats much worse, like late one when I lost with quads. But that evening I just got a feeling (maybe wrong though) that it was not my day, and close the game. There are so many other good things in life after all :f_cool:

Long time, thousands of hands, ups and downs. Return to freaking PokerStars to get this silver status. Some winnings at the beginning and then new Records. After today's "unlimited fun" session I looked closely at session stats and - found the Record that cannot be beaten: In 2 (two) sessions, including today, my W$SD (won dollars at showdown) is equal exactly 0%. Nada, nil, nothing. To compare, on my other current site, where I played much more sessions, my worst W$SD is 28%. Sure, These sessions were rather short, but still couldn't beat anybody :(
Hey, poker stars? Record is achieved, and even repeated. Can I play some more or less normal poker now?

Today's session gives me one more hand to remember - quads boat or house quads :)
Hero with 77, flop 557, turn 5, river 7. Was lucky enough to collect turn and river calls from AQ and even KQ :f_cool:

Looking in my stats for 30k+ hands, found some interesting details. Worst W$SD on winning session: 41.7%. Biggest W$SD for losing session: 60.8%. This session it was 61.8%, but won only 2 BB. Partly because of hands like my 33 on board 39KKT (three-flush) ran into K3 :f_o:

Most popular cards dealt to me was 65o, next - guess - 72o :)
Among suited most popular is Q2s and - yes - 72s. Most popular pair - you guess - 22, followed by 33, 44 and 55 with same result. Least popular: TT, and little better KK. Distance will give back, or what?

The law of averages from this moment forward you will run completely standard on pairs. Therefore you are not owed any big pairs and will run under expectation. :f_biggrin:

Oh you negative nancy _biggrin:

OP, just worry about playing the next hand, thinking about what's gone in the past especailly negative trends doesn't acheive anything other than potentially harm your development.

There's analysing your play, then there's torturing yourself. Do the former.

Ouch. Don't need to torture myself. There are always helpers :)
This session starts was something! In 20 hands lost Full house to higher Full and - oops- lost straight to nuts flush in battle of blinds. That was a sign. I didn't recognize. So was punished with couple straights from flop killed by anything or this special: Hero with 77 (lucky sevens): Board 23552 lost to guy with 54 :)
But especial fun I had with first TT hand, yes that least pair, so TT against ?
Board = KQJKJ (look back, no digits :) ) Yeah, suddenly lost to QJo.

BTW, in 31k+ hands, now my most popular starting pair is 72o - 1.03%, suited 72s (shared though) and pair 22. Isn't it amazing :f_eek:
Don't believe? Look:

Ouch. Today was another session to remember. Only 256 hands, in them
- had 8 flush draws, never completed any, opps of course were more lucky, even collecting 4 cards 2 times,
- in 6 AK hands never get A or K in all rounds,
- in 4 AQ hands had 3 AQ spades, in which never had A or Q, but in 2 had flush draws from flop, and only one A on only unsuited pair, that was also lost to opponents flush :f_confused:
And after this the funniest: got KJ on SB, raised, got K on flop (finally?)and ran into AA on BB

And BTW, cards are just getting better:

Seems like topic is almost dead, so let's refresh it.
Continue maintaining silver on PS playing on PS, despite them achieving a new low for me, because it's a first site where on reasonable distance in FL FR I lost money. Yes, I'm not durr, but have some basic ideas about it, and voila :)
So I switched to SH. And now you get 5 times more thrills through your favorite site. Today in 124 hands I lost nuts straight, set KKK, 2 trips and two 2-pair top or close from flop, not counting many top pairs to guys like 75/50 (3 times) or opposite 51/1 (4).
Fortunately moving to SH and after loss in FR, I went down a limit, so it's more laugh than anger. That's how you get fun in poker - you go a limit down, and your losses become a laughingstock :f_biggrin:

I am still amazed that your still going with this thread. Stop playing like a rock and loosen up! SH tables are not for rocky players. Try reading the articals here and learn to play more like a TAG.

Wanted to complain about my today's disaster, but you're right - it's not interesting to anybody. Hopefully in few past weeks I become more resistant to swings and even having occasional fun with them, that should help my gradual switching to SH. And on this positive note let's declare this thread closed.
See y'all soon on FL 500/1000 :f_cool:

Good move to close this thread. Now you´ve got one big problem gone: the shitty thinking.

It would benefit you more to open a proper blog and help promote the SHFL game. Write about the good and the bad and you will find people here will give you alot more help and encouragement which will end up helping your game more.

PS. Ouch - the only word to properly describe my second attempt with PS. I'm out again as will be soon my silver status. How sad is that this fu..nky site is most populous place for FL. Maybe, maybe next time still come back to play something like 5-card draw :)
And now of course, for sure, definitely, and completely, this thread is declared dead :f_cry:

He's alive, He's alive, Hallelujah, He's alive!

Why open a new thread, when I have one already. Even if it's declared dead - science makes mistakes too :)

Last 2 session I got couple of events I'd like to share. My little 'records' continue. BTW now I'm playing FL SH again, as PS advices to switch to it sooner than later.
Previous short session, in 107 hands I got 6 KK! WTS 50%, W$SD (win dollars at showdown) 33%, total loss 3BB, and what's interesting never lost to aces. Both times lost to BB, that after raise and my 3bet weren't afraid to cal 2 SB with hands like 46s (at least reasonable) which collected trips, and T8o that on flop AKJ waited and received Q on the river.

Today it was another interesting story - when poker site selects a cold-blooded fish (really, PTR status cold) with stats 75/0 - yes this guy principally doesn't raise preflop :), to show you all your misery. You know, lately I become much more relaxed, but this guy with a great help of the site made me mad again. Let's look at chronology, and don't forget that it's not HU, but still 6 person table, and he(she) s on my left - and always calling as you see from his stats :)
20:12 Hero AQ, board TK8 4 2, guy has 85
20:13 Hero AK, board QT4 2 5, guy has Q3
Nothing interesting, but
20:16 Hero AJ, board 8JQ Q 2, guy has T9 - straight N1
20:17 Hero complete SB with 47s board 644 3 8, guy has 52o - straight N2
20:19 Hero A8, board 977 6 4, guy has 8T - straight N3
Isn't it nice? 3 straights from same guy in 3 minutes :f_eek:
And the icing on the cake:
20:29 Hero AQ board QQ9 7 8, guy has JT - straight N4
And you still don't believe in miracles?

What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger! Amen.

Funk! Funk!

Next disaster doesn't even wait! Next session - da end. This lady-named player (now 71/4) again sits at my left and yes calls everything again (btw this happens when I already just lost 30BB in previous 17 hands)
21:52 Hero T8 Board A :spade: T :spade: 7 :diamond: 8 :diamond: K :spade: >> Lady Q :spade: 2 :spade:
21:54 Hero 3bets with JJ Board 8 :club: 9 :club: 7 :diamond: 3  5 :club: >> Lady J :club: 3 :club: ( yes, she was 12% preflop).

Pam-pa-pa-pam. Pam-pa-pa-pam.

Third time a charm!
W$SD 29% ( in two previous sessions was at least 40+), Three times ran into straights, two into flushes and a full house. On my side collect one straight to JJ, that shares the pot bringing me whopping 0.3BB.
But enough about sad. Despite getting AA, 2xKK and bunch of other interesting cards, best payout for a session was for the hand:
67s, board 246 J 3, hero wins with a couple of 6 :f_biggrin:

Now it's officially a downswing. Seven sessions in a row with winrate (W$SD) less then 50%. Today was 37.5 even if I go to showdown only lousy 30%, that is the lowest for almost 2 months. Yes, was owned before showdown and on it, and some losses were painful. Something in the world doesn't want me to move to SH. OK, still have some bankroll left for this try, so let's dance!
BTW another interesting story happened yesterday. 2 times I saw poker on the board. And both times I had a small pair, that became full house on the turn, only to become a total junk on both rivers :)

Ouch. Another 40% W$SD, another almost standard -24BB. Three biggest losses to 1 guy. Guy is kinda cunning, plays 40/0, but together with such skill, of course get a lot of support from poker room and my little tilt :)
3rd place: I raise with A5, got A on board (thanks), and lost to limped AT also hitting 2pair on the same flop. Lost 2 extra BB to be honest.
2nd Place: A :diamond: K :diamond: Board J 7 :diamond: K Q :diamond:, do I have outs or not? River 2, guy has T9
1st place: Raise with A8, gets reraised and also called by this guy. Board QKA A 8. Thank you very much for this 8! One guy had QQ, another shy AQ, I was dead from start to the end and just become a nice banking machine...

BTW got 3 AKs (like 4.5 AA) in 200 hands, and all 3 times get a flush draw (2 on the flop) :f_o: and guess how many flushes I got? I Know, i know, I'll get them in time - playing freeplay against one poor fellow, who always folds to the first bet :)

Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. Leo Tolstoy

Looking back in my first post in this thread, and applying this maxim to poker, I'd like to disagree :) There's even a book 'poker winners are different', and many losers look surprisingly alike. Funny, but starting FR career I had basically the same 'problems' as during my latest slide. So?

Three reasons against this blog:
1. I have a job with a normal pay, and poker is not even my greatest hobby.
2. I'm forever winner in poker, because I already withdraw more than initially invest, and still have money to play.
3. I was in fact prepared to coming downswing and easily moved a limit down. Moreover my poker troubles seem very small, comparing to better players' real swings.

Three reasons for it:
3. Somebody needs to write to downswings section :)
2. I feel better when sharing my 'troubles'
1. (Re)Thinking about the game can make me play better.

What to do:
1. Play better, enjoy the game 'as it comes', and hopefully share only really interesting stories.

Hasta mañana till we meet again, we know where, don't know when :f_biggrin:

It's faster than I expected. Ouch. When poker disaster selects you, it's a day you'll remember. It's day full of set-ups. I played reasonable stats VPIP/PFR 33/23 (that's FL 6max), but was constantly, constantly set up for bigger loss. The feeling of that is something. How many times I saw 4-same-suit-cards. when I have top pair-two pair-set-and drop the river - what else I can do! And when I called I never won. And I never had 1(one) case of such fun. But when this happens, at least I didn't lose a lot of money. But I've got straights lost, dead on flop getting bunch of help (trips, straights) on turn and river. Strange feeling, like somebody just pushing you to lose more. This was not a usual case losing to 2-4 out on the river. This is the case when I was almost/ or dead on the flop, but either have reasonable hand - top pair or better, or get a great help later, great only to lose more money. Really 7 biggest losses, all after the flop.
I hope, I made some other lives happier....

P.S. I went up a limit to get something back. And what I got was... was... all the same:
All fold, Hero SB Q4s raised, Villain BB reraised, Hero called.
Board 478 (Spoiler! villain has 88), easy bet from SB with pair, but he's dead. But, but look at the board:
478 Q 4 Hero lost 10 BB with full house 4 full of Q in battle of blinds.
I don't know, but What have I done to deserve this?
