@ Gerv

Edinburgh

You'l find everything you need at The Royal Mile, Rose Street, George Street and The Grass Market as they all have plenty of bars and some clubs and are all pretty central.

Try http://www.list.co.uk/places/clubs/what:Edinburgh/ or http://www.edinburghguide.com/venues/nightclubs for starters..

You play the Alea Monthly £100? Structure is pretty good. The Mint also does a decent structured Jackpot Tourney on Thursday evenings which I've played which is decent too. I haven't tried their Friday one but I've heard its similar.

Hey guys :)

I'm from Erskine, about 10 miles down the road from Glasgow, never really went to any of the casinos though since I just turned 18 a few months ago. Wanted to start going, any tips on the best ones?

Depends what you want to play?

I prefer mainly cash games, not the best at MTTs yet. NLHE is my game.

Sorry it took me so long to post only just noticed the thread on the home, generally dont delve any further into the forums than that

Played the 100 at Alea once ages ago, but not a big tourny player and usually my end game is to win at the cash tables but i am doing my best to get back into tournies.

Oh i also play at the Gala in Dundee when i see the folks! havent seen anyoone else on this thread playing in Dundee yet!

I ended up finishing 12/78 on that night, the next night I went again and finished 5/42 which was the thursday £10+ 1 £10 rebuy and addon.

I had to get my addon and rebuy in the third hand when my QQ lost to KK on a QK4 rainbow flop. Got to 5th and had AJ short stacked and I was big blind. There was a 4xbb raise, i re-raised all-in by a shorter stack, he had A9o and flopped the 9. Ended up going out against AK the next hand with AQ.

Going to go again tonight for the same thing, but hopefully cash this time :P

Top 4 pays, It is top 6 if 65+

Tonight I got to last 5 again ! But instead of washing out everyone made a deal top 2 chip leaders got £260 each and the last three got £150 each. I finished 3rd and won a seat in the "champions chair" which is free to play if you get 1, 2 or 3rd and the pot is around £2,000+

Sounds like you're likely running and playing pretty good. The standard at these tournys is pretty bad, I struggle to escape the bad beats :-(
