I am not talking that AK is as good as 72o. I am talking about 3bet pots and if AK is really profitable in such situations in a long run. Because from my point of view the standart line as suggested for SSS and partly MSS (bet/push) seems to be EV- for ring games and early tornye phases. Also line bet/call also doesn't seem to be profitable in a long run(at least in theory, but fishes may let u keep EV+).
But I will be more than happy to call Alcatraz's AJo and stack him on A high board.

What do you do on non A or K high boards after calling with AK (66% of the time)? check/fold? Call hoping to hit an A or K on the turn? If you miss what then????

Maybe thats my leak, but against unknown(typical for micros): if I called IP fold to cbet (unless he gives me my 12% odds). If I get called cbet/fold. At least thats in rush, were ppl dont seem to float/ bluff often enough.

Foldequity, deadmoney, chance to hit straights or flushes?

Foldequity and deadmoney is worth targeting at mid/late tourney stages and maybe higher cash game levels (dunno about that, never been there). Cannot agree with that more. But stealing blinds on micros doesn't seem to bring fortune.

I find stealing great for my winrate, maybe not at NL2/NL5 with everybody playing so loose, but at higher limits it's a very good way to increase your winrate. The same goes for attacking posters and limpers for dead money.

In Rush you cant SSS and play MSS at least. This discussion is about SSS (~20xbb) right?...

So that changes a lot. :f_confused:

But with ~40xbb calling AK and check/fold missed is too weak imo. You can float and spike on the turn or if he checks bluff him out the pot.
Also you're still hoping villain to bet with QQ- on a K or A high board and get 1 street of value max or run into his set...
