Saruniks: Haha np, my plan is to transition over to 6 max and HU in the future so it's good to start gaining knowledge now :f_grin:

Johnwayne360: Thanks :P

I didn't want to update until I play at least next 5k hands but I feel I need to put this down I flopped quads THREE times over 700 hands today(I had never flopped quads in my life before) and got next to no value from them even though I tried completely unorthodox lines, it was like the villains knew I had them X( Im up 210 BB today but I'm not satisfied with my game, the phone was ringing all the time etc so I couldnt focus which led into some bad plays. Decided to call it for today and rather play tomorrow after gym, swimming and sauna - I'm gonna rock it tomorrow _cool:

AjoPP1:

Cbet 32% or w/e you have is too low.

You're actually loosing a lot value there. Try to find more good flops to cbet in position.

Remember that you and even your opponents have only 36% to hit the flop! For sets it's ~12%, especially regulars will cold call your PFR usually with a PPs you can cbet them almost 100% times because it's still very +EV. Think about it!

I hope you don't mind that I have written here something _cool:

Good luck to you buddy _biggrin:

Well I think I'm too picky when it comes to flops and villains I cbet :f_o: Will have to work on it. But I cbet regs more often than random fish and stations ofc. Works well on regs(lets say TAGs instead of regs). I also need to work on my double-barrelling. And ofc I don't mind anyone writing here, all comments are welcome =)

so how were you going? maybe it would time for update? :f_biggrin:

Hey Saruniks, I'll give an update after I've played 15k hands(currently at 9k, cant put in much volume, I dont have much time now) but things haven't been going greatly, a little downswing hit me but I've already recovered. I've been focusing on studying and analysing the spots where I lose the most and I've come to a conclusion that I lose most in big pots partly due to suckouts but also stupid calls, so I'm trying to refine my play :) Shouldn't be hard to beat this limit if I solve this :f_cool:

OK I'll just give a little update, today I decided to move my FTP bankroll to PS to receive first deposit bonus on top of the starting capital which would boost my bankroll to 140 or something, hit 150 and switch to NL5 but FTP had given me a 20$ bonus to clear until 18.3., so I decided to stay on FTP and clear it first and then move it to PS. I also have RB there. I'll therefore grind more on FTP now. First 700 hands were not great and FTP has not been kind too me so far. Some crucial hands :

Not much to be said here, in the 3rd hand the villain was pretty loose and there was many cards in his range I had beat that I decided to play passively on the flop and go for C/R on the turn. I think I could've shipped the turn though. So far - 2.5 BI on FTP.

If anyone notices any leaks or bad plays please be so kind and tell me :f_love:

wow, 1 outer o.O, anyway, not much you can do here, bad luck, don't know what I would have done on 1st hand too. :f_biggrin: keep going,

Hello Ajo ...

H1: nothing to do that ...
H2: flop bet more! ~30 you are OOP on one opp and it's drawy board
H3: definitely cbet that flop, it's heavy draw. A lot of worse hands will call, you can't be sure he will bet there. So you are sometimes giving him freecard.

Gl! :)

Hi Killer! Yeah I agree with what you said, I kinda don't like pot sized bets, but I'll probably start doing them more often :)

I'm not gonna post any graphs here, nothing interesting I'll just summarize February a little:
On Pokerstars I'm up approx. 8 BI after 10k hands(started playing later in the month but still it sucks volume-wise).
On FTP I'm under a big doomswitch, I know it's stupid to say it but that site is a joke I wanted to grind the bonuses I had been given but I'll go busto at this rate lol The amount of suckouts there is unbelievable... I know it's variance, but it's kinda annoying anyway :f_cry:

Oh and I'm working on my non-showdown winnings because obviously I'm bleeding too much money there ?( I'm really picky when it comes to cbets, but it seems to be going the other way around. Spots which seem good for cbets and 2nd barrells become very often -EV for me and on top of that I'm kinda scared of calling down with mediocre made hands. . I now find it very very hard to play OOP without initiative preflop, even when I hit like TPTK ...:f_frown:

Hi man!

Nice to see a fellow grinder on the 'doomswitched' FT...been losing a lot on SH... :f_frown:..but now I`m playing FR

And yeah been working on NSDW too...trying to reduce c-bets...

I hope u get to nl5 as fast as possible ...hope to get there these days...maybe we'll discuss some things :f_p:

Riiight, I want to show you my FTP graph, it's a mixture of FR and 6 max, actually only last 3k hands or so are FR, but that doesnt really matter, what I want to discuss here is non-showdown winnings. The line looks terrible and I really need to start doing something, though I don't really know where to start. I think I understand the concept of fold equity and pick spots for cbets where I have fold equity, but it doesn't seem to work out. I probably also give up my hands too often and don't 2nd barrell enough, but from my experience 2nd barrelling works very little on NL2, when villains call flop they usually call turn too and if I don't improve by the river I'm screwed. Any tips on videos, articles etc appreciated, I'll read through everything available on here again too.

Hello CryoGenic! Yes it seems FTP really hates us, though obviously I have leaks at non-showdown winnings. I've tried increasing 3-bets, reducing them, really picking good spots but I must be doing something wrong, so now I'll take my time to really get to the root. The problem with multitabling is that we can't get great reads, but stats help a lot and I know which villain is likely to fold a cbet and which isn't, but oh boy it really doesn't work as it should I'm a lot more successful on pokerstars, so I dunno what the problem is ?( If it wasn't for some stupid calls for stacks which I have rooted out from my play I would of been at NL5 by now. Good luck to you mate and I hope we will discuss our progresses etc, even sweat sessions if you ever wanted it( haven't done a sweat session myself yet).

Thanks for the tip, I already have it :) Haven't really had time to read it though, but now it will be the first thing I'll do ! This can't go on like this :f_mad:

Hey just wanted to say I'm rolled for NL5 but still have a bonus to clear so will stay on FTP for a bit more. Hope I won't spew it off

You have the bankroll for nl5 but won't move because you have a bonus to finish? I don't understand what you mean, what does a bonus have with the limit you play? ?(

I've got two bankrolls, one on FTP and one on stars and altogether they make enough for NL5 :) So I want to clear the bonus on FTP and then move it all to stars :)

well my flop Cbet is 62%, dunno, I don't say you have to Cbet more, but it works for me, I gues... :f_cool: I am fish anyway :f_biggrin:

Wow, isn't that too spewy? How often do you double barrell then?? And what are your betting lines? when I cbet I usually bet 1/2 pot and when I valuebet I bet close to pot on flop. =)

1/2 pot CBet? And always same? Since it's nl2 its okay but don't use same method on nl5+ you will get exploited...

And 61% cbet is not bad at all..

Depends on the flop, villain, PF action ... I actually exploit this myself, when I call a PF raise from a tight opponent and he bets very little or around half the pot I often 3bet even with complete air and it seems to be working. =)
