FLOP ($18) A♣ T♠ J♦

Hero bets $12, BTN raises to $40, Hero calls $28

TURN ($98) A♣ T♠ J♦ K♠

Hero checks, BTN bets $42, Hero folds

BTN wins $95

Villain: 26/22/2.7/26/steal BU:50%/raise donkbet: 21%/ 8k h

This is a Flop i like to donkbet with my hand cause i think there are many hands villain could be checking behind but calling my donk bet. Baby Aces KJ KT QJ QT KK QQ.
He is ofcourse raising with AA TT JJ KQ AJ maybe JT and air.
Given this raising range i dont see too many Qx hands in his range other than KQ. How do u proceed on this Turn and what is ur plan if the Turn was a blank? I guess c/c and if River blanks?

hi farbenstaedter,

Pre okay vs spewy opponent, still i prefer 3bet or fold. I dislike your flop donkbet. F is just a call. As played, T fold.

Cheers,
Michal

Why do u dislike the Flop donkbet?

farbenstaedter,

I dislike it, because I want to value bet 2 streets of value and don't want to fold a better hand all too often. Even more, I don't want to play for stacks with this hand against this regular.

In this case, if he totally misses then he gives us cbet. If he doesnt, he might misplay his hand and there are not many freezers (K,Q) that may come on turn or river.

cheers,
Michal

Agree with Michal post flop, but think flatting pre is fine/good against btn mr.
