i wont close the ama - u can ask whenever and whatever u want there ;)

i absolutely dont mind passive strategies in many live games. esp 9/10 handed i think its perfectly fine. limping a lot and playing draws slowly is definitely way more standard in live games. i dont minde a 60/20 style or so

but the shorter handed u get, the more aggro i get cuz ppl just have no idea how to counter it

ok ladies, i already askes several ppl but i think its also time to ask my blog followers as im still not sure about the answer

if a big tv station (german, one of the main private ones) asks u for interviews and a longer coverage during wsop, would u say yes? why - why not?

upsides and downsides making interviews for non poker media? (for poker media its easier, i will probably alw say yes as its good for my image, getting new contacts etc, so i dont rly see a downside there)

i need to tell them soon if im on or not, but im not quite sure.

Easy "yes" if it doesn't affect your schedule. Publicity = money more often than not. :f_biggrin:

Well, they DO say that there's no bad marketing, so I'd say yes. I mean, how badly can you screw up?

insta yes.

if you are even asking this question, you are not yet ready for world domination.

publicity helps your business end and gives you connection but also can go wrong if you do something wrong or get overwhelmed imo

muhahaha, like it!

however keep in mind:

- family members (not close ones), friends and former colleagues from uni etc etc will know from then on how sick this poker world is. "ah random 10k buy-in for a poker trny in vegas" - some have to work half a year to make 10k! im not sure if i wanna know that they know how much money is involved in this business. i will get questions for sure and ii already know i dont rly answer them cuz they wont understand anyway

- high stakes friends in the poker world will def flame me. well not my close friends, but the guys i only know. cuz it will be the "lowroller" twicet on tv, feeling the need to brag about his skills/live (which i am not rly, cuz the tv channel approached me, not the other way round) still, im not one of the ferts, galfonds etc etc. these guys are the real sickos. im just a semi-sicko (ofc, i will also tell them on tv, but still u get what i mean)

- this is not a poker/finance/business media ... this is one of the big public ones. its not like it will very likely increase my brand value (TwiceT) or giving me the opportunity to get new contacts - those housewives and students and old grandpas and standard accountants watching that prime time show, wont necessarily help me in the long run

but ofc there are many upsides as well and i dont mind talking so i will def not feel uncomfortable about all those interviews. ofc, also a big advantage being on tv is i can place some stickers on my shirt and have some free ad for my new business ventures like "donateForVali.com" or "kungfuuuuuLemurCoaching.com" or "kingjuliendancingschool.com" :f_biggrin:

snap yes imo.
Family+friends: All the ppl who know u well probally already know about poker and if u have to explain it to some randoms it doesnt matter too much
Publicity: Awesome, may help if your goal is to evantually get sponsered by a poker site.

In a heartbeat, yes.

Surely there must be a ton of opportunities open up for you from the exposure - even if not directly. Probably many you can't really even envisage.

BTW jb will hate you if you say no... it's going to be worth 50k (inserted random decent number to support argument) units for the book as a "known poker TV personality". This audience contain the people who will be buying your book.

Who gives a toss what the high stakes poker pros think anyway?

I've already told him that the TV station needs to be persuaded to fly me over to Vegas for a joint interview about the book. He said 'Ha ha ha!'. Wasn't sure how to interpret that.

RTL - cuz they heard about me when i was in berlin and they like my mix of poker/lifestyle/world domination plans/etc

if they only look for poker geniuses, they can probably pick better plrs. but maybe they were also surprised someone with a uni degree can play poker profitable?! :f_biggrin: (JB, there is hope for u! :f_p: )

true, fame vs privacy. but imo overall privacy and freedom >>>>> all fame and money.

but on the other hand, i wont be rly famous only cuz i give some interviews in vegas. so im not sure if this argument is rly valid.

anway, i'll have phone call today in the afternoon with. them, let's see ....

hehe
guessed it. somehow i picked this up in berlin.
they should make a movie out of this blog, like they did with tucker max stories.
(Assholes finish first; his ultimate goal was sex with a midget. which in comparison to world domination is easy to achieve)

Hey TT, is it today you wanted to go over some IT stuff. Skype seems Kaput atm. hopefully will sort itself out

@TV interview: I think it can be only beneficial. I don't think it will affect you privacy much as you are ready to answer most questions in forums etc and we also know what you look like . They will more than likely be happy to keep your name private and refer you under your cool pseudo. So I don't see much downside.

You should do the interview if yo uthink it can get you some sponsorhips in the future, which is always good but you should think about the answers and adjust them to the general audience and just be cool _cool:

Make sure you wear UB patches. Then if RTL asks: what does UB stand for just say like ''ÜberBlödel'' or ''UltimateBellend'' or ''UnluckyBaby''
