Hi all!

Can anyone explain this. I'm pretty new to Omaha, so pleas help. I played in a turney at Mansion, Omaha Hi/Lo. This is the hand(I'm Dippy33):

Why the hell didn't I win High with a full house(AAA33)????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

you should read omaha rules first before playing the game.

the reason why you didnt win was because you can only use 2 of your hole cards, no more no less. And to make full house you used 3 of your cards.

Hope that helped a bit

With my small knowledge of Omaha...

You only use 2 of your dealt cards and 3 from the board...which would give you (correct me if Im wrong) ...Dippy33 shows [ 3S,3D,AS,7H ] and [board cards: 4C,AD,5D,8D,AH ] so your final hand is A :spade:A :diamond:A :heart:8 :diamond:7 :heart:

fold preflop, fold on flop, fold on turn, fold on river, terribly played. Learn how to play first. You need the nuts or sometin that looks like the nuts to win in omaha. The low part is easier to win, you don't always need the nuts, but beware, there isn't always a lowpossibility on the board! Omaha is all about math, implied odds and douts, so it's not as easy as you would think.

plan to win at omaha:

1. read books
2. play omaha

No offense but this just made me realise I'm not that bad at omaha

Just read a bit about it

Actualy I'm playin an PLO8 freeroll atm, 9/10 times that I won was with the low ^^

omaha lowlimit: tight is right. Just play premium hands and fold 90% of your hands.

Thanx for the advice, but I think I'll stick to NL holdem from now on. It's the only game I really know. All the others I learnt on a HORS freeroll at Absolut poker. I did pretty good and I just learnt as I went along(7 card stud, Razz, Omaha...) soo my knowlidge of this games isn't very good.

Btw I think I finnished around 60th place out of around 5000 players.

Oh and about playing only the nuts, I know that, and I thought I had them:))
