I know that feeling, but at the same time I care about people, namely my family. And while I might be happy to die with some pride, I'm not so sure they'd be quite so proud that I was so massively stubborn that i'd died for no need.

Last summer I had 5k in my BR and gave NL400 a shot. One hour later my roll was at 2k. Then I got into supertiltmode for a couple of weeks, and eventually cashed out 500$ and quit poker. Now I'm back grinding the NL4 and giving it another shot. Was indeed a valuable lesson.. gots to stick to BRM and have stoploss limits. + Work on the mental game.. don't sit down at the tables if you're in a bad mood, stressed or whatever. Huge part of poker is mentally handling downswings and to not let them get to your play.

Hey, hey, cheer up, it can always get worse. From my own experience, it's the same thing for last 9 months and 396K hands later I'm unable to beat NL10 (9 months ago was NL200 reg).
Every overpair that gets pre-flop all-in vs lower pair is dead by flopped set for my opponent. No monsters can survive 'til river etc. etc.
But what to do :)

that's the best thing about poker you can never know whether variance is causing a downswing or you're just bad and losing player :f_p:
