UTG is not scout, UTG is 2pairwind who is a good reg. The guy in the blind is a fish. If UTG was scout I would definitely 3bet preflop, and if not I would ship the flop for sure.
I have been missing from my blog cos I was taking a mini break, playing short sessions here and there and going out a little more, playing some sports and resting well. I have officially wasted the first half of June and it does not feel great at all.
And I think that guy is definitely the real scout, he tilts a lot and definitely doesn't play like a good player. He doesn't auto re-buyin and doesn't a lot of stupid shit. After looking at the outcome of the hand, I also felt that 2pairwind knew 1) my range was probably capped at AJ since I didn't ship flop 2) he was behind me but ahead of the fish so he shipped the turn 3) I wouldn't get into marginal spots since I'm underrolled for 5k.

FUCK NETELLER. srsly. They froze my account after FTP sent my 5k there. I still have another 5k stuck in limbo (not really sure) cos I did request for another 5k withdrawal. They have asked me to verify my documents 4 times already and I have taken extra care to make sure that all 4 edges are visible in my photo (for my ID card). They take ages to reply to me and this has been stopping me from playing at some of the european sites. If I could have gotten a bankroll running earlier I probably wouldn't be slacking so much.
In short, if you are deciding whether to use Neteller or Moneybookers, use MB 100%. Neteller is a piece of shit. And if you have the same comparison between FTP and Stars, choose Stars. Stars process your withdrawals within 5 mins. and FTP takes a week. Clearly shows the differences between both companies.
Grinding it out at NL400 again
Will I play more this week? I don't really know. My mindset still feels like shit and I need a new site to play at, to start afresh. Always good to start on a clean slate.
Did a lot of crazy shit yesterday. I think I might have overdid things but in yesterday's game (spewing off a lot of chips in bluffs which would fail very often online or in casino games), I had a dominant presence. No one had the balls to call me down light and thus I was running all the craziest bluffs (with my willingness to 3 barrel 200BB in without hesitation) and they were all working. Ended the session up 3 stacks, most of the money coming from bluffs. I did expose all my bluffs so my image was the shittiest it could have ever been. Never made so many bluffs within a single 4 hour session in my life. AND i shall remind myself to be more passive once again for my future online sessions.
1) Classic 3 barrel spot to fold out everything
History: UTG+1 is stuck really bad, bought in for the 4th time. He lost to my straight twice. First time was when he c/c T and R on T7Xs9As board with AT vs my J8s, second time was when he c/c T and R with 98 on a QTJr9K board and ran into my AK. He feels stupid for making those calls.
UTG raises, UTG+1 calls 1.60, I squeeze to 6, UTG+1 calls. I put him on JJ-77 mostly. Board came out 86244 and I bet 8 on the flop (14), 12 on the turn (30) and 45 on the river (52). He tank folds with JJ and I show my AK
2) Someone who likes to bet when checked to - Countering with the turn checkraise
History: My friend, always sits on my direct left whenever we play. He did 3bet me a couple of times and he used to be FOS but I think he has tightened up in recent times. It's super annoying and I usually get paranoid about such stuff. Postflop, he likes to call with middle pair a lot on the flop and float it on the turn to turn it into a bluff so I decided to readjust by making huge checkraises. Note that we were 300BB deep and I was absolutely willing to checkraise the turn super huge and ship the river (or bet super big).
In a previous hand I 3bet someone with T8o and my friend calls with 77, so did the initial raiser. Board comes out QXXr and I cbet, knowing that my friend has a lot of middle pockets usually which cannot stand a cbet. He makes a 2.5X raise on me and I fold.
I raise UTG with 3d5d, UTG+1 calls with 99 and SB+BB (guy in the previous hand) calls with KX. Flop came out K23s with one diamond so I opted to cbet my bottom pair into a 4way pot, intending to fire a lot of barrels or pulling some moves, especially on a 4 or a diamond. UTG+1 and BB calls. Now I think UTG+1 has KX, a mid pair or a diamond draw very often and BB usually has KX or a draw. The turn was the J of diamonds. BB checked really quickly and I tanked while staring at UTG+1's stack. He bets 16 into 24 and I checked raised him to 50. He "hmmms and haaws", and does the typical hesitation action (using his fingers to move his cards around). I then told him that given the way he was acting I would ship 100% of rivers with all my bluffs too since he was acting so weak and he decided not to screw around with his pocket 9s. He folds after telling me he had a super good feeling he had the best hand and he did.
Now if I knew he only had 99 I would probably 3 barrel instead of check/raise the turn. but I felt he had a lot more KX in his range.
3) Mr Facebook - The guy who was playing his first live game.
Initially when my friend introduced this guy to the table as someone who was playing his first live game, I thought he might have been an online pro. but after seeing his limps and stupid plays, I concluded that he had to be a Zynga Poker player (or something similar).
History: This guy is quite passive. And he even open limps with KQ and JJ so I think his PFR is 3%, having only openraised twice in the entire night. He did bet/called the turn once with K7 on a T976 board when I tried turning my A6 into a bluff and I had this feeling he might be a bit stationy in smaller pots.
It was the very last hand, we had agreed to stop after that and I know that fishes like to end the session up cos it's a terrible feeling to lose a big pot. I had been squeezing limps from BB/SB a lot with AX (raising to 9/10 BB) and this fish limps again, along with 4 other limps so I raise to 4$. He calls and the rest folds. Board came out 994r and I bet 6 into 8 with the intention of barreling. He insta-called me. Straight away, I knew he had a middle pocket pair and I decided to fire T and R. He tank folds the turn and I take down the pot.
Main Lesson learnt: Make sure you fully understand who the heroes are and who the pussies are. Yesterday was a great night for a bluffer who was cold-decked for a good part of the night, simply because none of the players had the courage to play for deep stacks vs someone like me who had an extremely skewed bluff:value ratio in most spots.
I have wasted enough time. For the past 10 days I have been playing a ton of Starcraft 2 and just burning up all my time on the computer doing nothing productive. Haven't touched any of my finance books, haven't done any poker analysis, and just a little bit of mindless grinding for 1-2 hours per day.
So from today onwards, I will grind 4 hours a day at eNet. I have readjusted my sleeping hours to 0500-1200 so I can play during the peak European hours.
As mentioned previously, thx to stupid neteller I only have 2k Euros on the site so I will be grinding 1/2 for the next few days until I hit 4k, then I will start taking shots at NL400 again.
and since my biggest leak is my impatience, I will start by playing more tables once again, and playing tighter preflop. With a stronger overall range, I believe my ranges will be less bluff heavy and thus I will spew less money.
How Long will this motivation last? Will I give in to my inner greed and temptations? Stay tuned to find out...

So I played 1.5h at eNet. Of cos given the way I run recently I get fucked again. I believe I was playing tighter than usual, not too sure since I can only use PT3 and I'm not completely familiar with the software yet. I made a nice calldown vs AQ double floating me in a 3bet pot on a 4 straight board but got coolered in 3 100BB spots
1) 3bet BB vs UTG with AA, retard calls with QJs and flop is KT9r
2) open TT on QT59 and get raised by KJ on the turn. I kind of knew that I was probably screwed by KJ but without reads I had to ship it in since I was crushing 99/55 and QT/T9
3) I 3bet squeeze AA and the fish calls twice with 68o. Flop comes out 579rQ and I lose my stack
I would have tried to continue grinding but every table had 2 russian short stacks. Fuck the russians, i hate them. They shove 15-20% from the blinds vs my BU steals and I'm forced to tighten up from all positions a great deal.
I have no mood to play now. I'll be back tomorrow I guess...

Yes sir! Watched it just 2 days ago while browsing through TwiceT blog. The reasoning and his thought flows are very clear, i think if our thoughts and reasoning for every move we make are as clear as in the video i guess we can crush any REG at our limits.

Before my session I was watching Phil Galfond's NL400 video and he repeated his point about intensity. And it reminded me about the fact that people have low intensity in multiway pots and do not really get out of line. So I think there are some spots where I might have misplayed my hand.
So the run-bad continues, I was up a fair amount today but I got owned in so many hands and some monster fish got the better of me. I played 10 tables for a good amount of time cos I was trying to make sure I tightened up preflop. It did work to some extent but I was still overly aggressive on one of the tables and I quickly tried to restrain myself after I realized my VPIP was skyrocketing in the 30s+
1) I knew I was screwed in this spot 95% of the time. Am I supposed to fold my set? Or do I call to "remain unexploitable" since I'm pretty much at the top of my range? My hand looks really strong when I lead out into a field of 4 people and I doubt this guy is ever shipping any two-pair here.

I think I pretty much lost all my winnings in Macau and so I'm stuck 8k USD for the month, solely from my live poker losses. I got lucky that some donk donated 900+ to me when he called me off AK vs JJ on JQXKX board. Also got into a couple of preflop wars with a few people, including NewManMi the deucescracked coach and some other guys. Ended up in some FML spots too which I might have misplayed to some extent.
1) Really had no idea what to do. Villain is a 19/13 player who doesn't seem all that aggro. I check/called turn cos I may easily have the best hand against a pair which chose to bet for protection, and also possibly some flush outs or overset outs. Really dangerous to proceed, I really wanted to fold turn right away. On the river, I almost became paranoid and c/c after watching the NL5k video on Pokerstrategy where all those crazy nosebleed players keep turning everything into a bluff, but I forced myself to fold.

2) HEM was screwing up my reads on him. I have him as 0/0 over 25 hands so Initially I kept assuming he's a nit but I realized that he was opening a lot of hands at my NL200 tables so I opened the replayer to check and found out he was 24/20/12 and super aggro. 3) I think I played this hand perfectly (meaning I would play it the exact same way if I could see his cards from the turn onwards) but this guy is really WTF. I don't think we have any history and thus I don't think he should be check/calling the river. I will be valuebetting the river with any twopair, set, straight and the only possible made hand I could be turning into a bluff is probably TT. The flop doesn't even have any draws at all. And I actually took this line with the intention of folding out a weak KX because I felt that after he checked the turn, he was really weak + the turn coordination would strengthen my perceived range and thus give me added fold equity by the river.

@ hand 3) u bet half pot on turn then u bet full pot on river doesn't tell the story of you having a strong hand. taking villian's point of view, he should expect you to bet bigger with a strong hand on the turn for more value and possibly smaller on the river for thin value. your river pot size bet just make you look so polarise => rivered straights/air, so he thinks JJ is a decent bluff catcher.

5) 2000-0000 hrs: play Rush Poker for 2 h

Have been watching some PLO HU videos again, this time round I'm watching Scott Palmer's video since he's so good (Pokernews Strategy, PLO1000 HU). he did show his sexy 3 million bankroll in his FTP account in the video.
PLO100 HU: Lost $150 in 37 min over 87 hands. My opponent was a 90/30 fish and he played really straightforward. Checking behind flop with a lot of onepair hands, never folding to cbets at all (10%) and calling with any gutshot or pair. I stubbornly c-betted a lot at the start of the match but decided to just keep checking behind later on.
1) When someone is playing really straightforward, he obviously has AAXX when he 3bets. Should I defend my hand, given that I don't really have good connectivity with the other 3 cards? My equity vs AAXX is probably 35% at best.

Other than that I was losing a lot of small pots which showed that I wasn't too good in adapting quickly to the fish's tendencies.
Rush Poker seems really easy this week, with the number of players reaching 200 at this very moment. Never seen such high number of players even before black Friday so I think it's because of Rush Week.
I played slightly more than an hour and played decent. Made a few mistakes in small pots at the start and ran 1k below EV so I broke even but still feel alright.
1) Don't know what this guy is trying to do, checking behind nut flush on turn (know it's scary looking but still I believe I have QQ and maybe KK in my range, perhaps some TXs that he can vbet against). I look super weak on river and maybe he expects me to donk out with QQ so if that's his analysis on the situation then I guess his weak bet size makes more sense to get me to herocall with 99 or 88.
I was really contemplating checkraise bluffing to rep 4 combos of sets and some flushes but figured that his small bet size would result in him levelling himself into calling with a cautiously played AA/KK and besides his WTSD was quite high so I decided to c/c to catch some random AJ/KJ type of hands which were very much in his range. I might have check/shoved if the Ten wasn't a pair (so i can rep another 2 combos of TT) and if he had betted bigger (which would weight his range more towards AA/KK and also prevent him from levelling himself into hero-calling). but perhaps it might be suicidal to try folding out AA/KK vs certain opponents. THen again, straightforward opponents would just bet bet shove in 3bet pots with overpairs, regardless of board texture. so someone who uses a pot control line with an over pair might very well fold to a checkraise allin

I played many pots badly
1) I actually had this discussion about this spot with Somnius yesterday and I think it's a super terrible shove. Not thinking enough about the board texture after I made up my mind to 3barrel on the turn. IMO i should be shoving any heart/K/T as a bluff and checking back an Ace to showdown. When 2 flushdraws miss and all straight draws brick off, it's super easy for someone to talk themselves into herocalling here which was what happened. I shoved cos of his low WTSD and deep stacks but he seemed on the LAGGier side (16/13) which would indicate he would be likelier to consider hero-calling as opposed to other nittier FR players.

3) I felt he was aggro, somehow he seemed to be 4betting a lot and opening >50% from SB but he made his 4bet really small + i didn't feel like committing with AXo so I opted for a min5bet (which I would do occasionally with AA/KK).
Duno what the best line is on the flop. His range is looking a lot like broadways when he flats, I expect him to fold his random KX/QX/JX/lower hands to my min5bet. And the Q hits his range really hard, he has QJ/KQ/AQ/QTs quite a lot. at the same time I flopped a pair and since there was a potsize bet left I just shipped. Didn't want to 30%cbet and have to fold to a checkshove and get folded out by some random flushdraw

Software still tilts the shit out of me. It actually isn't that bad if I use PT3 but I hate PT3. I'm using PokerPlaner so that I can import hands into HEM with the party poker format. graphic lags a lot and I have to keep minimising/maximising windows to update/refresh the graphics.
Made a few mistakes. Maybe it's because I'm tired (slept at 0400 and woke up at 0900) Will try to avoid them in the future.

2) The potsize bet on the flop right away gave the tell that he either has a monster or some strong draw. I think majority of people will just stab small on flop with air, unless they already had the intention of barreling off.
I don't know if the river is considered a blank or not. My intention was to fold any diamonds. Not sure if I should be folding to broadways cos those are typical scare cards, maybe I can look at sizing and if he half pots it its for value and if he bombs it its probably a bluff??? the 4 completes 68s and so does the 9 (but i'm obviously never folding the 9). T and 8 completes some gutshots and twopairs so maybe I can fold all those?
I don't really know, looks like I don't really have much of a gameplan for this particular hand. Will try to do some analysis on this later to see which rivers I should be folding and which rivers I should be calling.

Nice heater + nice play. Biggest pot lost was only 100$ so I made a shit load of money. I might have made a few tiny mistakes here and there, so let's find out. Running at 30/24/12 again. I tried my best not to go nuts but there was this reg who was playing 50/40 style and minraising like 30% from UTG, 50% from MP and stealing 80%+ so I had to keep him in check. Fortunately only one other LAG behind me so I didn't really face too many cold 4bet bluffs.
1) Opponent is a slight fish, 38/15 over small sample, got this feeling he isn't all that terrible but many leaks. On the turn, I wonder if I should check and check river again, let his Ace highs bluff. Or do I have value? 6X and T9/45 are all crushing me, maybe I could vbet river vs 7X if he does check behind.
