I seriously thought about calling but since I really wanted to make the final table, I decided to pick a better spot... But I was basically card dead for the whole FT and came in 4th when 88<A9 all in preflop (that woulve actually put me to close chip lead)

Anyways, whats the right play here? Idk. Also DutchRed seemed pretty agressive and eventually came in 2nd even though he was pretty low on chips here

i guess so. I was also a little worried about the initial raiser. There was an open raise, re-raise push so I really wasnt sure what to do... Def one of the toughest decisions I had to make this tourney.

Hey,
I would fold there cuz it is raise reraise - I give respect to the short that shove there as it is a 3bet. If there were no reraise in front of him I would defenetly call him.

Gnna be close. If there is ever spots to pass up some eq its on bubbles of FTs though. Making one generally results in a lot of $ev. We have the $ jump - and also people generallly make more mistakes on FTs. So that in mind I don't mind it.

also by iso shoving (which is all u can do really - tho flatting looks stronger so u wud probs want to consider doing that if u were to do anything) you're kinda spitting in the face of the gap concept (which above poster has highlighted) and im not even that sure its that +$ev, with the bubble factor like i said its very marginal and generally im just gnna pass on it. Ofc we could do the eq calculations here with wiz but i am cba doing that - but ofc you can if you want to.

ty for your answer amplifyd, i apreciate it.

its not that bad spot. you have really nice fe and you def. have him crushed. i don't think cl is make a super lose all here. and the thing is we're 6handed. i mean you beat so many combinations with aj in that spot. of course we need more equity since its $ev but i guess i bring it in here -> its my lowest range in that spot.
aj+ 10/10+ i guess.
