hmm.. i have 1 of the best conditions to practice chess rly hard (a lot of time, tons of materials, my gf WGM, w 2 IM norms, a top young GM friend i could train with in the future coz he seemed interested in exchange of chess/poker lessons.. but after all: i just kind of feel it s too much pressure or sth, like i want to prove i can be an IM or sth (which i am sure i can, but is this time rly worth it? doubtful..) ; esp when i do chess for more than 2h straigh i just freaking get like: hmm.. its not interesting at all; esp till 2200 level, i think the most important skill is just precise tactics and decent endgame/opening knowledge. Thats just either memorizing or just wearing urself to count day in day out on making it a habit of seeing lines clearer. Hmm.. idk, maybe if i had a well scheduled training w a lots of entertaining stuff in there, i would like it, i think so yea.. but i think poker has a lot more potential for my true abilities to show, so i also feel i am kind of losing time on training chess. U have any particular book/material u recommend u rly liked?
@gerv: i should be in BA and available from 9.7. I wanted another chess tourney, but i ll cancel it almost for sure, but dont count w it yet for accomodation purposes. U could even stay in my place for the time being if i am here, but y, can confirm just in the beg. of July
Backgammon is cool, ofc i played it, esp on math camps i attended in youth, i didnt get too much exp, but i was ~5th in a tourney of ~40 once. But i am not sure how much was variance, any idea whats the luck/skill ratio in the game? has to be way bigger than poker..

@vids: ok, so many ppl were writing me on skype lately abt whether i do more vids and where can they see vids of me or such. I wanted to kind of ignore this topic for now, but its prolly too irresponsible, so my short statement: I decided not to do a live session vids for Cz/Svk comm; I also have concluded i will not do any vids of my own play at least the spring for no page. Biggest reason is that i am too paranoid, some ppl will get too much into my head and i dont want to reveal anything abt the way i think abt dynamics esp and how where i use it. I dont mind at all talking abt theoretical spots or sessions of others since i dont think revelaing only information is high-cost at all; but revealing the way i think and adjust usually, even if i play NL100 in the vid, deffo is. Since i am an extremist, i would always try to explain the best i could everything there is to it, esp if its some nice play of mine. Since my ambition is to play the highest limits in the future, i find this too -ev for me. Abt other vids: i have not decided yet. I do vids for fun/giving sth back to community that was there in my beginnings/not for money, so it's harder to push myself rly. I am mostly up for dual vid series now prolly. It takes the pressure of getting too deep off me. This series w purplefizz should go on, we did 1st vid already, but she complained it was not good quality or sth. Idk where it ll go. I am also thinking of making a vid series w Matusko (if he is up for it) for Svk/Cze comm as means of reconciliation.
@poker: also have to apologize for this blog not being updated so regularly as i first anticipated. The obv reason is my gf, and the personal life i want to keep private a lot more now. If anything breaking rly happens, i ll update. I am up 20BIs this month in 13k hands sofar, on a heater yea, i dont play too well, but it just keeps coming.. hope to hit my best in a week or two. I just analysed a bit last few days and played not that much but should more now. I watched a lot of sports yesterday, a Stanley Cups final (Boston ftw! Zdeno Chara rulezzz! i mean srsly: Tim Thomas+Zdeno = 50% of their success prolly), Tour of Swi (P.Sagan awesome); and Daniela Hantuchova's progress in WTA Eastbourne. She is playing her best ever. I am rly inspired by her. She is already 28, she was world no 5 before but even then didnt have such level of play as now. Beaten 3 former and actual no1 is the world in last 2 weeks, who can say that?! (Wozniacki, Ivanovic, V.Williams) and also R.G champion Na Li yesterday.. she is ON FIRE! i wonder how long can she keep it up.. if till rest of the season, she ll get very closet breaking her personal career high.
