IMO if somebody important wanted you dead after something like this i dont think you would get death threats you just wouldnt wake up one day or the next time you start the car would be the last etc i dont think there would be any threats if it was a real threat to national security, but still this is all very interesting can somebody tell me why if aliens had been captured w/e it would be kept secret. apart from wide spread hysteria and panic is there any other reason? just humour me for being a noob 
Watched the doc there is some great points in there but also some laughable stuff too il watch another part another day see what else it has to offer
A number of reasons.
1/ Knowledge is power. If the governments have knowledge that the general public don't, then it suggests more power to the government, or at least more chance to use that knowledge.
2/ If aliens have made contact before, then most belief systems will be proven to be false, since creation will have a significant error. Since religion is a way of keeping a certain form of peace, it could lead to significant violence or danger if it is destroyed.
3/ The freak-out factor is always a big one

Ah yeah of course and of course more knowledge over other governments too they wouldnt want to have to share all their infos.

clearly in a universe which might as well be infinite for all intents and purposes, its very unlikely that life is solely confined to this planet.
as far as ufo's being of extraterrestrial origin, its seems unthinkable with our technology at the moment but the advances in our tech in the last 100, even 50 or 10 years, leaves a lot to be imagined about what it would be like a 1000 or 10,000 years from now so its not beyond the realms of possibility that travelling the vast distances of space could become possible.
as far as this stuff about ancient aliens, i think it belittles human kind to think where not capable f designing and building structures, creating medicines or any of the other amazing stuff we have created.
I'm sure Plato, Copernicus, Gallelio, Da Vinci or Einstein were not visited by aliens and they came up with some of the most mind blowing ideas and inventions known for their time.
also a lot of these wall paintings of gods and stories i believe can be attributed to psychedelics such as DMT. check out peoples accounts of their trips and a lot of them describe seeing and speaking to ''Gods'' or entities, and back before modern times I'm sure that is where these ideas and stories stem from.

Telepathy. I think it's a bit odd that our biggest technological advances were just in the past 50-150 years - who says we haven't been helped by extraterrestrials via telepathy, as in having ideas while dreaming or other alternate states of consciousness. By the way telepathy is more subtle than one would imagine, but I do know from subjective experience that it is real and possible. For example accidently picking up from a poker player that they have AA, before them having made any action.

I know it's real because i woke up one night with Sleep paralysis and it went from there.
The way i can explain it is like having a really vivid dream like reality.

Anyone can do it just before you go bed.
The key to doing it is Mind Awake Body Asleep.
You reach that stage my friends then you can Astral travel.

I believe somewhere out there.. there is at least a single celled organism roaming about making friends with other little single celled organisms; however extraterrestrials visiting our planet? I find unlikely. Because even if there are others out there in the universe they would have to find our planet amongst billions of others and back when we weren't giving out radio waves that might have been difficult. Even since the industrial revolution happened and we started sending out radio signals they dissipate in space and become unnoticeable.
As for aliens traveling to our planet they would have to use very advanced technology that would enable them to take advantage of some law of our universe (that we do not know about) to jump from one location to the other in very little amount of time. If they could do this; then why do they not inhabit every planet in the universe (or at least galaxy)? Of course they're probably wiser then the average man and maybe they decided not to breed like rabbits.
Also if you look at human history we did not have a huge leap forward in technology until we found out how to take advantage of cheap energy however that energy will eventually run out only time will tell if we end up making it past this. So aliens would have (probably) had to have cheap energy to take advantage of and made it past the limited time which it lasted for .. and have advanced technologies to use in place of the cheap energy. So whats the chance that a society makes it to point where it is able to "warp" from one location to another? My guess is that it is pretty low - questionable if it is even possible. However with trillions of planets out there.. lots of dice are rolling.
The question is how did life on earth start? If you look at this then it is easy to recognize the possibility for intelligent life to exist elsewhere in the universe. There could be thousands if not millions of planets like earth, if there are water bodies present then there is a good chance for life to exist. It's thought amino acids essential for life were first brought to earth via meteorites because it's thought earth is too young to have created its own initially. Sure we can find different amino acids on earth then within meteorites but the left handed molecular structure is the same as the structures in meteorites and probably close to 60 different amino acids have been found within meteorites.
So are there planets that have:
1) water bodies
2) meteorites
3) habitable temperatures "although cryophilic or thermophilic bacteria does exist"

PS - Steven Hawking has came out and said Earth has to stop sending messages with our location etc. He has stated we need to not let any intelligent life know we exist because if they can come here they can take our resources. For a guy like Hawking to make a statement like this shows even one of the greatest minds on our planet believes aliens exist.
PSx2 - A very good book if you like easy to understand science literature is Bill Bryson - "A Short History of Nearly Everything". He breaks down everything from the possibilities of aliens to string theory. Very very very good book.

For me it just feels soooo awesome to talk about such stuff, literarily I feel a rush in my body everytime i bring up theories with my friends.
