Running for 10km when it's 33 celsius outside is not necessarily the smartest thing to do. Especially after you haven't eaten nothing but two slices of bread for the last 24h. The plan was to hit 10k hands today but i'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen anymore. Hope i feel a bit more energized after eating. Guess it's time to watch some vids.

Holdem manager decided to crash during a session and no matter what i did couldn't get it to work properly. Uninstalled it, re-installed it did all possible things i could imagine. Result: mu hud configurations, my pop-up configurations, my report configurations and most importantly ALL MY FUCKING NOTES are vanished. FML! It's ridiculous how much edge i'm giving up just because of not having notes on villains. And i still have to do prly few hours of configuration before my hud is even close to what it used to be. Unbelievable bullshit.

Finally got the HEM working properly. Unfortunately notes have disappeared for good so everyone feel free trying to do all those fishy things you love to do because i don't remember a shit about the history btw you.

Note to self: please do backups on your notes! It takes 10secs and it'll help you to keep up your wr. Taking ten secs once a day/week = $$$.

I might still be too tilted to play because of hem but i'll find that out soon.

So much negativity in this blog and in the last two posts.

Today though, was different. Hem is looking good atm. Missing my notes a bit but prly wrote 200 more today... :f_biggrin: Some solid reg ownaments going on and some rungood as well. First day with EV-profit being over 1k$!! 5,7k hands today and yday 9k.

Only bad/not that great thing was that I felt a bit too happy about the EV-results today. After i knew that i was up over 1k in EV, I was playing a bit nervous and scared money because of "i don't want to dip below it..." which is obv bs. I did tell that to myself after realizing it and i got it under control. It's just that that's one thing i've been looking forward to achieve and now that i got there i didn't wanna lose it. But now that i've been there and done that, the next one shall be 2k$ in a day. No hesitation about losing anything "back" anymore :f_p:

Would be nice to post a graph but since i don't wanna see my results, i can't do that. Almost certain that i didn't make 1k so there's not that much to brag about anyway.

Thanks for reading! I'm feeling gooooood :f_pleased:

It's been two weeks pro-time for me now. First time I've felt a bit bored of grinding and putting in hands was today. Was still capable of putting in 7,5k hands today but i did realize that i'm more prone to take a break during a session even if i rly don't have a reason to do so. Also even more concerning is that when i take a break, it's lasting longer and longer every time.

Anyone having/knowing a good break routine? What specific things you do during a break? How long does you breaks last? How often you take breaks?

I deffo need to figure out some sort of routine for my breaks.

btw, i feel that i'm playing a lot better and more focused during mornings so i think i should change my sleeping schedule the way that it'd allow me to wake up a bit earlie, around 8-9am, and go to sleep mby at 12pm.

+1, but it's kinda gay to play sessions with a schedule like that ...

8-9AM is the time when the tables start drying up for the day til they juice up again in the evening ...

I guess it's not a problem when you don't have other ppl you have to take into consideration, you can simply study/review during the day and fire up the tables when the evening starts setting in ...

But for me, that's also the time when my gf starts demanding for some quality time spending :f_biggrin:

So I haven't found the most optimal zen way to combine those different aspects of my everyday life, which is quite ... bad.

don't fully agree on that. But obv with rush it's prly different than with normal ring games. During mornings you have fishes like this guy playing rush...

Also i think it's veryvery important that you're mentally in good shape and balanced when you play. It might be even more important than juicy games. Don't know. I'll post some results on that at the end of the month. So far i've felt that my wr has prly been bigger during morning sessions [9am-3pm] than during evening sessions [3pm-1am]. Ofc it might also be because i'm not yet tired from grinding.

Congrats on 1k day, as for routine etc I don't have one at all just play when I want/can be bothered. I don't know if you read vonki's blog? I saw she was writing about playing in blocks might be something you want to read.

Seems like you grinding like a beast not surprised you not feeling motivated one day!

You been watching any good series recently? Seems it's so difficult to find decent FR content

ty. I've read the vonki's block-thing. I'm not enough organized person to go for such a daily guideline. Way too restricting. Part of why i'm doing this instead of some other job is that i don't have restrictions on anything rly. Guess that it's ok to feel numb abt playing every one day in two weeks. At least today I'm feeling gooood again :f_pleased:

I actually have watched one rly good vid serie but unfortunately it's not abt fr. I don't rly even look for any fr series anymore since those almost always lack quality imo. Also since ranges are narrower it's easier to read hands, so the spots you get into aren't as tough as in sh games. Which is why i prefer watching a ton of sh/hu content over fr. It seems to me that ppl who are producing vids for fr games aren't usually on as high of a level as coaches making vids for sh/hu games. Which oftentimes means that you just don't learn as much from it. Since i've got a dc subscription for this month, balugawhale, ansky and foxwoodsfiend have reached my top 10 -list of vid producers. Btw, all of them make mainly mid/high stakes sh content. As balugawhale says it: "fr is the same as sh but the three first positions fold every hand". I don't rly 100% agree on that but it's not far from truth.

Have you thought about moving up to 1/2 sh rush? Since that seems to be the only way to move up the rush ladder atm.

I don't agree with baluga whale completely either. As for nl200 SH I've been playing a little SH recently just a few hours so will have to see how it goes and then possibly move up, the player pool at NL100 SH is really small. I reckon there are some differences that need to be made when moving to SH not just forgeting about playing utg.

How come you don't play more NL100 SH? I become super spewy in SH or have been so far :f_biggrin:

Because with my image, sh rush is all about picking up a top 5% hand and getting it in vs a reg. Like this:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($101)
BB ($72.85)
UTG ($110)
Hero ($100)
CO ($107)
BTN ($100)

Dealt to Hero Q♦ A♥

fold, Hero raises to $3.50, fold, BTN raises to $10, fold, fold, Hero raises to $23, BTN raises to $100 (AI), Hero calls $77 (AI)

FLOP ($201) 3♠ 9♣ 4♦

TURN ($201) 3♠ 9♣ 4♦ 2♠

RIVER ($201) 3♠ 9♣ 4♦ 2♠ 7♣

Hero shows Q♦ A♥
(Pre 68%, Flop 12.9%, Turn 8.0%)

BTN shows 4♠ A♠
(Pre 32%, Flop 87.1%, Turn 92.0%)

BTN wins $198

It tends to get boring to be AI preflop all the time... The day i start loving that i'll move to sng's or mtt's. :f_p:

But i do play it during mornings quite often since there's usually like 3-6 ppl playing and it plays like a normal ring game and fr rush is very slow at that time because of the lack of plrs.

If you rly wanna move up (which i assume you do), you should prly look to switch to sh rush. It can't be that much tougher for sure. Obv the fact that you have to get used to both the new format and new regs is challenging but doable, imo.

btw, i've played 454 hands of 6max rush during this month and my EVbb/100 is 62,28 :f_cool:

Mindset seems to be not great nor horrible. I've tilted pretty badly during one day and felt some steam during maybe couple more. Overall felt good playing for the most part. Sometimes i deffo was a bit tired of grinding and not in best state of mind to play but overall did OKish.

Volume is waaaaayyyy more than i ever thought. 100k -milestone was achieved today which is obv superdupersick for 30k/month -guy. I've watched 30-40 videos as well and some of those have helped my game quite a bit. I mark 20+ hands every day and review those at least once. Which has helped me to not make stupid mistakes over and over again.

I've also hit the gym regularly and run couple times as well. I've deffo lacked a social life a bit during last week but i knew that's the way it's gonna be for this month. This month is mainly devoted to poker.

Things i should be aware of in future:

- Mindset, no tilting allowed. I can't afford it. Period.
- Figuring out a good, solid break routine.
- Quality over quantity. Even though huge volume is great if you're not playing well there's only one thing to do: quit.

Meh, this ended up being not as broad as i planned but the main point was to go through stuff in my head and everything wasn't worth posting.

Thanks for reading and let's crush it for the rest of the month! :f_thumbsup:

No, it's okay -- you stay where you are. Last thing I need is another aggro reg check raising every flipping flop vs me ;)
