Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $4(BB) Replayer
SB ($556)
BB ($217)
Hero ($400)
UTG+1 ($683)
CO ($423)
BTN ($777)

Dealt to Hero T♥ T♠

Hero raises to $14, fold, CO calls $14, fold, fold, fold

FLOP ($34) 9♥ A♥ J♥

Hero bets $24, CO raises to $60, Hero raises to $156, CO raises to $409 (AI), Hero folds

CO wins $343

Villain raises 15% cbets and does not have many flush combos in his range since i also block the T high flush. KQhh 78hh 67hh. He also could be raising 99 JJ AJ but not sure if he raises AJ. Is this an unecessary 3betbluff or given he cant have much is it ok?

hi farbenstaedter,

Your UTG PFR is strong and on the board that does hit your range you get raised. I think it's a -EV 3bet bluff on F vs this opponent.

cheers,
Michal

Ok and if this were CO vs. BTN?

farbenstaedter,

If your perceived range is not that strong, you will more often face attacks, hence the opportunity for 3bet/4bet bluffing (generically speaking). Still, 15 flop raise is not that huge and I think here it is best to just fold F.

cheers,
Michal

why is hero cbetting this flop?

Think about COs calling range preflop vs. UTG. I dont think this Flop hits him at all.

So are you valuebetting or bluffing? And 25/18 is gonna hit this board pretty well even utg vs co. Also, if villain is good i don't think he's blindly attacking this kind of texture which smashes your preflop range.

Thats why its a good flop to cbet for my Range ;). I think c/f is to weak and i certainly dont want to start c/c.

So you plan on cbetting your whole range just because part of your range hits it well? After that you've got tons of air here.

btw, are you 3betting your flushes here? So do you have a calling range vs his flop raise? I'm not saying that you should bet/call this but just wondering.
