As played I kind of agree with you, but the fact is that this is 3$ sng and players can overplay many hands. So versus unknowns I would not find a fold.

Anyway I would always raise preflop.

Raise preflop here.

As played you can easily go broke on this flop 3 handed they will do the same with KQ and many other types of hands.

I Don't like Raiseing Pre here especialy if the BTN is lose (I know I didnt post stats because hand smaple is not big enoug), it just become a pain to play post flop when I don't hit when I Cbet on good board and get called and have to ChF the Turn or get a bad flop and have to ChF.

You lose value if you do not raise.

You also do not have to c bet every time against every player. If you have reads that he will call every C bet then only C bet for value and just check when appropiate and save the chips but what you have written here sounds very results orientated. Limping is a waste of such a strong hand pre flop IMO.

I dont think its results orientated at all. On this limit Fish Limp call, I need evidence otherwise. So if I limp and hit a hand its the same thing as raiseing and hiting. where as if I limp and miss which whats gonna happen most of the time I can get away cheap.

It would be difrent if I would be in position.

If you limp and hit a hand like you did here two bad things have happened...

#1, BB came along for the free ride and now you are facing a raise and a 3 bet shove over your raise and you do not know if you are good because these two limpers could have anything in their hand. On this limit however I say get it all in here as played.

#2 You limped and hit a hand and the pot is only 300 chips... If you raise and you hit on the flop you get a much larger pot and as you say looser players will call your c bets / pay you off with worse hands so you want to build a pot with a good hand starting from preflop.

The times you stack a loose player who made the mistake of calling your raise preflop with a poor hand and getting it all in as an underdog more than make up for the chips you spend raising preflop and letting the hand go post flop.

To me what you wrote just seems like someone saying "I am only min raising or limping KK preflop because an A will probably come on the flop and I will have to fold post flop." Thats what I meant by results oriented thinking.

there is 2 reasons basicly.

I dont want to play OOP vs a anyone let alone a fish where im gonna have to give up to on most flops.

On Party the Blind structure is realy bad and increases rapidly more chips kept is more Fold equity in a few levels.

I can understand what you are saying tho. I proberly would raise this on Full Tilt.

As played it's going it at this level but of course raise pre. The looser the tards the more we raise.

this exactly...
If BTN is super loose.. I just put in a 50% of his stack raise out there.. it commits us to the pot if we get HU against him.. and we can still get away if BB wakes up with a monster..

but this hand also plays out very easily if you just raise to 350 or whatever...

your throwing away so much equity limping in the small blind with AQ against a limper... thats just burning money if you ask me..

and we are getting it in on this level like dangermowse says.. especially since you state these are loose villains..

ps. your reasoning for not raising is fallacious. Especially when you say you hate to have to cbet and then check fold.. because your basically committed against btn after your cbet.. so your like never cbet folding against him.. on any board texture with AQo and these stack sizes..

So if I limp and hit a hand its the same thing as raiseing and hiting.

It's about building a pot while your still ahead.. and AQo is ahead of his btn limp raise... and it's gonna be ahead of him on the flop 65% of the time or whatever... so yea raise preflop!

Ok, I think I have come to the conclusion that my game has gotten to tight playing these Party SNGs. I have stoped Raiseing AQo unless in later MP and LP with and without Limpers.

Should I raise AJs and o in this spot?

You should notice that positions has quite big difference in this situation also. If limp would have been from UTG then we would not be so eager to raise from SB. It might still be best move though. When limp come from BU it's almost always pretty mediocre hand. Suited hands are obviously better to just limp.

Limpers range is usually pretty wide so you should raise premium hand like AQo especially in position and close to button. Also you can raise many weaker hands than AQ. Idea is to isolate weak opponent who has quite wide range in HU pot where you have advantage of position and you are ahead of his range.

I would usually raise AJo/ATo also but not weaker aces. We don't want to raise wide from this position.

agree with ghaleon's comment...

not sure if I go as wide as ATo against an unknown here with the given stack setups... But of course if it's a really weak opponent limping a lot ATo is super stadnard here..

but yea I pretty much raise AQo here against anyone.. as well as AJs... and probably AJo against opponent I feel are weak in this spot..

and 99+ and AQ+ is a raise from every position...
