I'm not sure that PokerNews' counts of 1 million chip is correct. I think he has about 800k now. So he's still second.

He lost a few small pots but also won a few, all with just preflop action.
The players in the event are playing quite strange.
For example:
RobbieV opens BU, BB calls.
Flop 5:h 4:s 5:h check, RobbieV asks how much villain is playing, but opts to check
Turn 8:c villain goes all in before the turn card hits the table.

RobbieV then won a small pot fom Benjamin Volpe to go up to 850k, but then lost a bigger one to go back down to 650k
In the first one, Volpe opened MP and Robbie called from BB
Flop A:s 9:c 6:s, RobbieV bets 26k villain calls.
Turn 4:d check, Volpe bets 42k, RobbieV calls
River 2:d check check and RobbieV takes it down with A:h 3:h
In the next one, it was RobbieV who opened to 36k preflop and Volpe called
Flop 9:h 4:d 5:d, check, Robbie makes it 45k, Volpe calls
Turn A:h check, Robbie bets 92k, Volpe calls
River 4:c check, RobbieV cuts out a big pile of chips, but opts to check.
Volpe shows A:s J:s and RobbieV mucks his JJ

RobbieV was back in the chip lead but has since been overtaken. He has 1.1 million chips now.
Blinds at 12k/24k/4k they are really close to the final table now.
RobbieV has been taking down a lot of blinds and antes from late position with tight players to his right.
He also called all in twice and was well ahead both times.
The first was a three way all in against two shorties.
CO shoved 98k, SB overshoved 186k, Robbie made the call from BB
A:s 4:s vs K:h Q:d vs Q:s J:d
The board ran out 6:d T:d J:s A:h T:s so CO tripled up, SB busted and Robbie lost about 15k. He would've lost 20k in the big blind anyway, so it was still a small net profit for him.
The next all in was the big one. RobbieV raised 40k from BU, SB goes all in, BB goes out of the way, RobbieV calls.
T:s T:h vs A:d 6:s
The board comes 7:c J:h 8:d 4:s K:h and RobbieV took the chip lead and went to jusy over 1 million chips.

He lost a preflop all in 550k pot with JJ vs A3s. villain hit an ace on the river to go down to about 700k.
But he then won a huge hand against the chip leader, forcing villain to fold with an all in on the river.
Robbie made it 50k preflop, villain called.
Board 6:s Q:c 3:d check, 60k, call
Turn 5:h check, 130k, call
River 5:c check, all in (about 500k), fold
The last time villain called down to the river and checked, RobbieV checked behind and villain showed AJs on a A high board with no draws. Robbie lost with JJ then.
WSOP.com says both that Mitch Schock was eliminated in 12th, and that he is currently 11th in chips.
Sick effort that.
