also, if 9/10 games are bad beats, then who's winning all the money? There has to be winners to be losers. Are you saying that only a select few are specifically targeted to forever be the victims of this supposed 'organised crime' (re: varience)?

First of all, thx for an proper answer. Of course you are right , I'am still learning this game but the point is I wasn't loosing money. That 700 dollars I lost in that one game where winnings. I still think its was a very odd game and I wish I kept the graphics to proof it, but ok. With this poker strategy site in hand I can improve my game and maybe try again like you did.

i have no idea if online poker is rigged or not and i don't care if it is. it sounds illogical but the point is there are countless people who have put in a lot of time and effort and are reaping the rewards by winning online. you think they run around complaining it's rigged?

what Gunn56 said summs it up. i don't mean to patronise you - im by no means a great player but i stepped back and questioned myself for a change and i found a good enough answer. try it and dont lie to yourself cos you'll go broke.

where did you get that number?I heard that like 17% do make profit in party poker with that tragic rake...

ok that was an exaggeration, my point was that if you put in the work you are more likely to play properly and turn a profit. i was emphasising how it's easy to think it's rigged against you as a justification for not being quite as good a player as you think you are. i know there are a lot of people who dont win money online, but we are all here to learn more and improve so you might as well quote that statistic to every new person that signs up to this site.... and if only 2% of online players make profit then it's not even worth playing online other than for fun.... unless you're in that 2%, which i'm sure you are. and actually... that statistic may be true (not sure of your source and i'm not going to accuse you of pulling it out of thin air) when looking at the bigger picture but i'm going to assume that not every single player online (in the sample from which the statistic was drawn) actually comes to a site like this to learn proper poker or even tries to improve by any other means. so i don't really care for that statistic and i'm sure pretty much everyone else here won't care either... unless they're just here for the free $ lol

i read it somewhere on here before i think, but yeah obviously you have to take into account the millions that deposit once or twice who have no idea how to play and just loose it straight away. it would be pretty interesting to see what the figure is for players that are signed up to PS but i have no doubt that the percentage would be much higher.

oh and im certainly not in that 2% yet

The AA hand you use as an example just does not add up, a 5/10 player is not gonna be playing that way in my opinion
i only have 30k hands in my holdem manger, but i scrutinise it once a week, and everything looks above board to me
i play the super turbo sng's so i no plenty well about suck outs and bad beats, its part of the game, but if you stick within your br management and you are a decent player, then long term you will show a profit, some more than others obviously

i would suggest that you was way above your limited playing 5/10 nl, this is a fairly large cash game for someone with little experience in my opinion, its also full of regs just waiting to pounce on the newbie chancers

my last 5 superturbos i have been knocked out by bad beats, is it rigged, no.. just varience my friend, three and five outs will hit on the river and over time the % will stay true

I don´t know the exact numbers concerning the number of profiting people, (would be VERY interested if anyone does) but I would like to remark that there is a big difference between recreational players which are "ahead" short term and people that are beating the game, the winning regs. I have seen some numbers in the past, which have been clearly incorrect because the author failed to make this difference. They said that something like 30-40% players are supposed to be "ahead", which might be true for some kind of a homegame with no rake and probably nobody actually beating the game, but definitely not for the online environement of today.
The true numbers might be something like 10% players being long term BE or barely beating the rake and like 2-5% at best being able to continuously accumulate profit.

The rules of the game itself (and rules of most other games played, historically) are made for ordinary people to lose monies, of course. So no reason to be surprised if you lose money online, all poker is "rigged" this way.
Either it is some guy straightforwardly having a balanced set of dice and waiting at the corner or you get to come across some kind of a game with simple rules, but more complex gameplay than it seems at first and a band of sharks ripping you off. If it comes to making profit, people are being cruel to each other for centuries

Look the easiest way to make it unrigged is to email support and ask them to disable their algorithms for you. If you have not figured this out by now you deserve to loose in my opinion.

look at it this way, your all in preflop with QQ v AK and the ace hits the river
would you say its rigged?
the above scenario had 6 outs
you example had 5 outs
so not a lot different really

the AA hand reminded me of a similar hand of mine some time ago.
was playing SSS at the time

there was a raiser before me, i pushed with AA
and a guy behind me (8/8 vpip/pfr) calls instantly with 83o
he flopped a pair, and by the river he had fullhouse

i too was very suspicious about randomness of online poker after that hand,
looked like that guy knew what comes on the board...

but those kind of bad beats will always happen if you play poker,
not just online...just stay cool and try to improve your game...

try all in preflop with KK, 2 callers: pocket 77 and pocket QQ. pocket 77 improves to quads by the turn. WTactualF. but this shit happens you just forget about the times it doesnt happen.

Although not rigged, what does concern me is collusing, it is obviously rife at all poker sites and im not to sure the sites actually care about it, those that are clever colluders would not go over the top but just take a standard wage each month from colluding, without naming names there is a certain nation that if they have 4 or more players at a fr table then i will not join
