Where do you plan on playing? I'm thinking stars, but I need to grind back up as well.

Have the opportunity now to have some free coaching and guiding through the stakes at NLHE... so I'll most likely try that out... if I find cash games as boring as I used to do I will just do something completely different..

We'll just see what the future brings...

Since we are discussing my future here..
I've been trying to get the motivation to write up a blog entry about my future plans.
Just to write up some cliff notes:

I'm starting university next semester.
I applied for some random university's and subjects to learn..
Needless to say I was accepted in all of them.. They probably googled my sharkscope graph r something...
decided in a rush to pick studying to become a Lawyer..
So I'm starting that in 2 months r something..
Don't really feel motivated to become a lawyer.. but It's a respected thing to study... and it def pays off... so it's +ev...

My poker profits would've been enough to pay for the school.. and I would've probably kept grinding to maintain an ok lifestyle while studying..

after today I can't afford school anymore lol... and no clue if I'll be able to grind to maintain any type of lifestyle

But in the end it's just some money I made sitting in front of a computer clicking buttons... And I was anyways planning on taking some Student loans... but it just means I'll have to live on a smaller budget than I was planning..

My view on today's tragedy
Just gonna throw up how I see this situation at the moment. I know some people value my opinions and I had a lot of things correct after Black Friday.. Although I don't know a lot about this business.. but I'm a logical thinker so yea..

 Full Tilt as a brand name is worth nothing at all anymore. Reviving the site would be a bad business move so they have no incentive to pay people their money back.

:club: If they would open again, everyone would be really quick to withdraw their rolls and move them somewhere else. Making it nearly impossible for full tilt to open again...

:club: If they are judged guilty they'll simply go bankrupt and no one will get their money back. Since well we all know they don't have the money to pay everyone back. And as every Icelandic knows.. when a corporation/bank goes bankrupt.. nobody is getting paid...

:club: These rumors about investors(Jack Binion) having their eyes on Full Tilt as a future investment is a classic example of big companies trying to reassure their members to keep playing and think their money is safe... Same thing happened with the banks here in Iceland.. Everything was going haywire.. and it was only going worse from there.. yet they acted like bunch of Arabic investors were interested in buying those fucked up banks... Just to keep peoples money as long as possible and yea the rest is history..

:club: :diamond: I seriously doubt any investors really had their eyes on Full Tilt.. but the certainly don't have any plans on putting any money into Full Tilt anymore..

:club: :diamond: If Full Tilt go online again without a license no payment processor will work with them... Not moneybookers, not neteller, not visa and not mastercard... So there would be no deposits and not withdrawals..

:diamond: Furthermore I doubt anyone is going to buy Full Tilt's software.. It just feels like it would hurt the companies reputation to do business with Full Tilt at the moment... And personally I would not trust any site that will open up in the next few months that has the same software as Full Tilt had, and it just seems like a common sense that other people won't either.

:spade: As for the future of poker.. I think there will always be a market for online poker/gambling.. And that's not gonna change..
Online poker was already going downhill and this is going to hurt poker's reputation even more.
As a results we are going to see fewer recreational players.. Less money spent advertising poker since the market is going to be so much smaller.. It's pretty obvious that reg vs fish ratio will be getting even worse once again...
And the only change that will happen in rake will be increasing.. If there will be any change at all..

Feels good getting my opinions on this matter out there.. Most people I look up to seem to be pretty certain players will get their money back. I simply disagree, I feel like my reasons are logical and well thought off. But of course like I stated above my post, I am no expert on this business and I have no more information than just what I've read. So hopefully I'm wrong and we all get our money back.

Reading the forums I've been seeing a lot of questions like "What about my full tilt points? I had like 30k full tilt points?", "I had ordered a t-shirt from the full tilt store will that arrive to me?" and "What about my $20 rush ticket?"...
I don't wanna come out arrogant or anything... but you people understand there are players loosing 5 even 6 digits bankrolls... and you guys are really wondering what will happen to your 5 digit full tilt points balance...

But yea it would def be nice to see my 10k playmoney chips sometime again...

I def understand that $200 can be a lot of money for somebody.. but wondering what happens to your $20 rush ticket.. or a t-shirt with the Full Tilt logo???? That shit is just to tilt the guys that are loosing some real money on this...

So imo just stay calm and quite until we know what the fuck just happened.. and what the fuck will happen.. and stop worrying about shit like strategy points or something for a second... while me and some others try to stop worrying about having lost what we consider a lot of money for us.

The future is bright for anyone bright enough to win money clicking buttons... It's just a little setback in our plans to rule the world..

the show goes on..

Ps. Remeber it's only money... It's not like we lost something we can't get back with putting enough time and effort into it... Imagine all the worse things you could have lost today and never gotten back...

I agree with you on everything, unfortunatly pesimists ( logical thinkers ) are almost always right

I am no expert either but I dont think full tilt's name is useless atm

I agree that many people would be suspicious of fulltilt and they wont do as well as they did until now but if they do return the money back and try to resume business as usual they will have much more success than starting a new company with a new name

I dont think a new poker name/site, for example, letswinpoker.com are likely to have more success than fulltiltpoker.com

i may sound like a retard but im on the optimistic side

This - nice perspective. No one died or got trapped down a mine for weeks.

I think the problem with opening up full tilt again is the fact that they don't own enough money to pay costumers their money..
I agree that they would quickly win some respect back if they were capable of starting business up as usual and all withdrawals would start to go through.. but this would mean a huuuuge loss for full tilt in the start..
And they don't even have the necessary funding's to pay players back.

So unless they find an investor that for whatever reason thinks bringing full tilt back from dead I don't see it happen..
More importantly I'm pretty sure some investor would rather put his money into some new poker site than bailing full tilt out of their $10m debt.. (or god knows how short they are on the player bankrolls)

I think with every minute that passes without FTP coming with some PR statement decreases the chances greatly that they'll try to get their business up and running again..

imo even the owners could easily refund all the bankrolls, you are underestimating them.
the question is weather they want it

Full Tilt was a gold mine..
The would've dumped all their money into the site to keep it safe if they could have..
They had no reason to not put all their money into the site after black friday to instantly pay Americans back and keep their reputation up..
They were just stuck too much $$$ imo... And now the owners are being faced with criminal charges...

They tried everything to keep the site going... sng madness/rush week with like 2-3 days in between... Supposedly some interest from investors.. as well as continuing to give out statements that everything was ok..
If they would've had the funds to fix this problem they would've way before they started to have problems paying Americans their money..

I'm seeing these dudes for the first time in 6 years at a music festival next weekend!!!
They quit back in 2005 and they used to be one of my favorite Icelandic bands so I can't wait!!!
And this will most likely be the last time they perform as well.. so yea!!!

Only Icelandic bands performing at that festival.. so not really anything else I'm looking forward to.. except the shit I've seen multiple times before.. But yea can't wait :)

If you listened to all 3 of these song's I'm sure your addicted to Quarashi by now...

---

As for poker I'm taking some kind of a break atm... Haven't been playing anything.. and haven't decided anything about where I want to start playing or anything...
But I will before or after the weekend :)

I guess it's a good timing to post a semi lifetime graph for Full Tilt...
It's only after I bought HEM.. and it's missing some tourneys..
These are graphs for 9 man turbo's..
I've faced some sick variance lol..

btw I'm pretty optimistic about getting my money that I have on full tilt back..

Kinda balling on a budget in real life atm.. but It's whatever..

and I began my cash game grind at stars today.. whooping $200 upswing in the beginning 4 tabling nl25...
I'll be looking into options to move into the softer sites and make some crazy aggressive bankroll management..

I currently have like $6k floating around online.. so I don't need staking or anything... but I might in the future if I don't get full tilt money back and if I start running kinda bad :P
