Hero raises to $4.50, 2 folds, SB calls $4.00, BB folds.

Flop: ($11.00) 8♠, J♠, K♠ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $9, SB calls $9.00.

Turn: ($29.00) Q♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($29.00) 6♠ (2 players)
SB bets $8, Hero raises to $25.00, SB calls $17.00.

Final Pot: $79.00

Is the check on the turn ok? I almost bet but decided to take the free card, in case I was beat with TPTK

I think it is well played.

If he thought he had you beat I am sure he would have bet on the turn to protect with something Like KJ, AJ, KQ etc

But the check on the turn from villiain with the Flush on the board looks weak for me.

I think you were ahead all the way from the flop !

What did he have ?

I like the check on the turn. Obviously, you may miss a little value, but if we get a c/r it would be really hard to continue as even with our TP and strong draw, we are behind and get the money in as a dog. Furhter, the check behind often induces bluffs from weaker hands.
